Each year the children can’t wait to rummage through their Christmas stockings to discover the goodies hidden inside. They tend to feature some of their favourite things including chocolate coins, slime and other items of Santas choosing.
The options for stocking fillers are numerous and it can be like navigating a minefield trying to choose the right items to include. I have 3 children of my own so have a good idea of what can work well.
I have put together a guide to make finding the right stocking fillers much easier and also to show it doesn’t have to cost a fortune to do this!
There’s also a great competition at the bottom to win some of the items featured here.
PoundToy
I had never heard of this company until recently. In the past, I would hunt around a number of shops to find a range of items. PoundToy have a great mix of really well thought out options to enable you to buy a large range from one place. You don’t even need to leave the home either. Honestly, it’s a great time and stress saver! They are well priced too and prices start from 1p. Yes, you read that correctly that says one pence.
The PoundToy elves notify you when the order has been dispatched and track it all the way.
These are items that caught my eye specifically for my children ages 5, 9 and 11. The overall total came to £50 and I paid £3.49 for Standard delivery (3-5 working days).
Items from 1p to £1
Items included: Dinosaur Tattoos, Temporary Shiny Tattoos, Sticky Creatures, Crayola Mini Pens Neon Markers, Dinosaur Egg slime Toy, Glitter Putty, Mermaid Slime, Scratch Magic Art, 2 x Make your own Super Slime Sachet, and 2 x Fluffy Slime. These are great little gifts and don’t cost much.
The Following Items Cost Between £1.49 – £3.00
1 x 4 Coloured Bright Bouncing Putty, Squishy Ice Cream, Dinosaur Scratch Art pictures, Pando Poo Squishy Keyring, Squishy Unicorn, Magnetic Putty, Kinetic Sand, and Naughty Joke Box. I loved the options available, there are plenty of items that can be used for stocking fillers.
£4.00 – £7.00
Grafix Weird Science the Bath Lab – Bath Bomb, Weird Science Unicorn Poop Slime Kit, Jurassic World Paint your own TRex Money Box, Light Up Flashing Skip Ball, Make Your Own Unicorn Bath Bomb Kit, and Grafix Dinosaur Operation. These are ideal for large stocking fillers or even small gifts for class mates.
Zimpli Kids
Great stocking fillers from Zimpli Kids include:
Poo Emoji Bath Bomb
These make amazing stocking fillers and can be purchased from Poundtoy too which is great. You’ll find a large number of Zimpli Kids products on that site which will make shopping so much easier.
Crackle Baff
Make bathtime fun for kids with this great product. Better still you get 6 sachets in the pack. Kids will be asking you to have a bath every day!!!
Baff Bombz
Sophie the elf was super excited when she saw these and couldn’t wait to get in the bath and have a soak after a long day working with me and Santa. I’ll let you in on a little secret, I’m part elf!!! There are 4 great fruity aromas to enjoy. These make wonderful stocking fillers whether you give the whole pack to one child or split it between a few there are plenty to go around.
Smelli Gelli Baff
Elfie really did get excited when he saw this and wanted to dive straight in. Ops! Of course, he got stuck so had to be fished out. But, who could blame him, seriously? Who doesn’t want to have fun in a bath full of smelly slime when it smells like bubblegum!
Unicorn Slime Play
We all know eleves have a tendency to misbehave. Apparently, Sophie stole Elfie’s last candy cane so he decided to squirt mayonnaise at her. Thankfully this box of Unicorn Slime Play was just the right size to use as a shield. It also makes a great stocking filler – we all love unicorns.
Dino Slime Play
Any dinosaur lover would be over the moon to find a Dino Slime Play in their stocking. I found Elfie hiding behind one after he discovered I’d bought more candy canes. Thankfully he’s not the smartest elf so I just followed the trail and found him.
Want a bigger gift that is on the same theme then why not grab a Dino Gelli World kit from Zimpli, my son loved it.
Emoji Baff Bombz
A fun idea as kids really love anything related to emojis. We have a few poop pillows around the house. These are ideal as stocking fillers or to bulk up a main gift. Pop in the whole pack or give them as individuals in various stockings. Either option works well depending on your budget.
From the Zimpli Kids Baff Bombz Range
Sophie loves these. She’s always nabbing them before we get to use them. I need to learn to hide them better I think.
NOW That’s What I Call Music 104 CD
Who doesn’t love music. Not only is it fun it is also a great way to relax and perfect to dance with the kids too. NOW 104 is a fabulous gift to pop in a stocking. There are some great songs the kids and adults will love including songs from Lewis Capaldi, Camilla Cabello and Billie Eilish – my girl’s favourite singer at the moment. They’re sure to love listening to this over and over.
BABY Born Surprise
These collectibles are super popular and make wonderful stocking fillers. There are 12 different dolls, each doll can drink water and pee!!! And for those that haven’t got kids yet or are a little older, yes kids love that sort of thing. Open the cocoon to find out their skin and hair colour and hairstyle. Dolls have different coloured eyes, you can find out what they are by wiping the eyelids with a damp cloth. Boy or girl, which will you get? Age 3+.
Pop Pop Hair
Cute and colourful and another popular collectable. Each pack includes a hair pet, hairbrush that becomes a spray bottle 4 hairbands and 2 hair clips that you can use on your Pop Hair Pets or your own hair. They’re just the right size to fit inside a stocking. Age 3+.
Hangrees
Modeled on a range of popular tv shows, movies and video games these are fun toys that you use to make your own slime in and then they poop it out. Yes, super popular due to the character range and slime these will be on many Christmas lists. Age 8+.
Leakproof
ION8 Leak Proof Vacuum Flask / Water Bottle
This is a lovely stocking filler for kids. Not only is it 100% leak proof it’s also BPA free, reusable, refillable, insulated and stainless steel. It has a cute fun Party design that is certain to be popular with children and adults. It is perfect to keep drinks warm or cold and I’m sure will work well with the carbonated drinks we will be creating with our new Sodastream.
