Push Popper Fidget Toys the Stress Relieving Toy

(gifted) If you have kids, you’ll be aware of push popper fidget toys the stress relieving toy.  They’re super popular and are the latest craze to hit the internet.  There is a growing range of sensory/therapeutic products available and equally a growing demand.  These are wonderful for children and adults alike.  We were sent some by HGL to play with and share our views.

Push Popper Fidget Toys the Stress Relieving Toy

What Are Push Popper Fidget Toys?

These are made from silicone and come in different shapes and colours. They consist of numerous domes that can be popped in and then out over and over.  They make a small popping noise each time you do this.  These have a therapeutic effect.

Let’s look a little closer to see why.

The Therapeutic Effect of Push Popper Fidget Toys

We’ve all played with bubble wrap.  It’s soooooo much fun.  Pressing the little bubbles, the tactile and auditory sensations make it irresistible.  It automatically helps to release stress.  You have the same effect when playing with sensory toys like push poppers.  You push the bubbles which make a popping sound when pressed inwards.  Pop one side, flip it over and start again.  It’s super satisfying and surprisingly calming.  Seriously, you have to give these a try.

But why?

The Science Part

When we are stressed we have a tendency to fidget more.  This is why fidget toys are so popular.  Using fidget toys gives our hands something to do and exerts a therapeutic effect.  To put it simply playing with these sorts of toys for 60 seconds has the relaxing effect that you’d achieve from a 33 minute massage.  It releases muscle tension and this as a result reduces stress.  It is a great way to distract the mind and take focus on things that are causing stress.  Take a look at the video over on my Instagram feed as see for yourself.

Studies have shown that when we play with bubble wrap the brain releases dopamine a hormone and neurotransmitter that controls our mood.  This is often called a happy hormone.  Therefore it makes sense that we enjoy playing with bubble wrap or the toy alternative push poppers.

What Did We Think of the Push Poppers?

Well, we already had some so these were great additions to our collection.  These are fun and easy to use and the kids find them quite addictive.  They’d often sit in front of the tv and play with these.  We loved the rainbow one as it was such vibrant colours.  The glow in the dark popper was just as much fun and really glows well in the dark.

The fidget toys are available from Claire’s, Smyths Toys and Toymaster.  These are pocket money toys so don’t cost much which is great.

What do you think of push poppers?  Do you have any at home? Would you buy one for kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, friends kids etc?

My eldest son would love this fidget toy. He gets agitated sometimes and would usually turn to his favorite toys for comfort but I know a fidget toy can better relieve his stress.
