Pampers Little Champions

Mr Squishy has the funniest, cutest little run he looks like he is running in heels.  My little man has got to be a budding runner you should see how fast he goes when I take him out for a walk.  As a little man he enjoys activities of all types, the more active the better, he certainly keeps mummy on her toes.  At the tender age of 1 1/2 he is better at dribbling than mummy!!!

It’s important for little ones to be active and to be suitably kitted out to do this.  We went through numerous types of nappies when I first had children until we found nappies that not only held in their contents efficiently (trust me those are not stories you want me to retell) but also allowed my little ones to feel free and run around without restriction.  Since having Mr Squishy these nappies have improved.

Pampers agree that we should encourage little ones to get moving so they have joined forces with sporting hero Jessica Ennis-Hill CBE, Olympic Heptathlon Champion, (mum to her own little champion, Reggie) to launch the ‘Little Champions Campaign’ to encourage parents to celebrate their own little champions as in her own words “our babies are the future generation of medal winning athletes”.

Mr Squishy is already on his way to moving like a champion practicing daily and showing around the clock devotion to discovering anything and everything his little world has to offer.  This little boy literally goes on and on and on and on a bit like the Duracell bunny so it’s hardly a surprising fact that a study has shown that babies move so much in the day they can take as many steps as a marathon runner in just 24 hours* (probably less in Mr Squishy’s case he literally doesn’t stop).  Just as the world’s greatest athletes need a durable kit, babies need a nappy that offers the best comfort and protection – a nappy that will allow them to move freely, without restriction, throughout the day.  Pampers NEW revolutionary Magical Pods do just this with their absorbing channels that help to distribute wetness evenly and providing a sag free fit and superior dryness so babies are able to show off their champion moves!

Pampers understand that being able to move freely, and in comfort, is beneficial towards babies’ development. Pampers Love, Sleep & Play expert, Dr. Ellie Cannon explains how research shows that an opportunity to move is an opportunity for movement development to happen:

‘Feeling physically free and uninhibited whilst being supported and safe is an important part of a baby’s exploration of the world and physical development. Babies don’t need instructions to learn – they learn through self-discovery and encouragement from those around them. That encouragement comes in all forms: not just a clap from mum and dad, but also being unrestricted in their clothes and nappy. Freedom to move without restriction is a key aspect of your baby’s development environment’.[1]

My children are all too old for nappies now, but I was a pampers Mum when they were in nappies, they always seemed to do the job. Also have to say Mr Squishy is so cute x

This sounds like a lovely campaign – Jessica is definitely a great spokes person for this. I do have a little champion at home. He is 19 months and if everything works out as planned, he will start gymnastics soon. He is like a little monkey at home, always climbing, jumping and in constant movement. x

This is fabulous, only wish this was available when my daughters were babies. It’s nice to see nappies evolving, to give babies the freedom to move sooner. Love it 🙂
