Kids love toy figures. They’re ideal for creative play. Many children, my son included can get lost in his own little world for hours and it is key for parents to encourage this. Creative playtime is especially important as it is something we can use to reduce screen time. These are great fun and are also good for group play. This is important for social development enabling children to develop skills such as sharing and also taking turns. As a result of the fun factor, parents have an opportunity to have some time without a child haranguing them continuously. Win-win for all involved!
Who are Schleich
Schleich is one of Germany’s largest toy manufacturers and in addition the leading maker of lifelike animal figures. Schleich has created a wide range of fabulous high-quality figures. Each figure is handpainted with detailing to an exceptionally high standard. Amongst the various options can be found the most amazingly realistic dinosaurs. My son is dinosaur mad. Naturally, he has a fair few dinosaur toys, but, these without a doubt are the best we’ve ever seen.
We’ve been asked to Review Some Schleich Toys!
We were asked to reviews some toys from Schleich recently. Of course, my son as over the moon and couldn’t wait for them to arrive. They had protective packaging over delicate parts to ensure they’d survive their journey to us. On opening the package, my son squealed with delight. Among the dinosaurs sent was one when hadn’t heard of before, the Therezinosaur. Because of this, my son wanted to open that one first and take a closer look.
Schleich Dinosaur Figures
Schleich have a huge range of dinosaur figures for dinosaur fans to collect including:
Tyrannosaurus Rex
What child doesn’t love the T Rex. Schleich have designed an amazing replica of what many agree this ferocious two-legged predator would look like. It’s fantastic and unlike any other we’ve seen! The shades of green, the texture of the skin, moveable lower jaw really add to the realistic feel of this toy.
Therezinosaurus
This was a new dinosaur to us and as a result, made it even more exciting. This dinosaur had extremely long claws. Not only would it use these claws to defend itself it would also use them to dig, grab, pick and peel off tree bark. An adult Therezinosaur could fend off a frontal attack from a T-Rex. These must have been pretty terrifying creatures. Although this looked like a carnivorous dinosaur when we looked it up we were surprised to discover they were thought to have been herbivores. Despite this, my son insisted on feeding the other dinosaurs to it.
Spinosaurus
This was believed to be the largest of the dinosaurs and also most dangerous of the carnivores, larger than both the T-Rex and Giganotosaurus. The sail on the back of the spinosaurus regulated its body temperature. In the day it would absorb heat from the sun and then at night it would radiate this. Evidence indicates this dinosaur was the first to be able to swim and its diet consisted of fish.
What Did We Think?
The attention to detail on each of the dinosaur figures is exquisite. Each is extremely durable. Colours of each are what one might imagine these creatures to be from movies and picture books. They are ideal for little ones from ages 3+ as one might expect will get a lot of playtime. My son loved that there were moving parts on those sent because it allowed for more realistic play. Obviously, we would highly recommend these fab, fun toys. Little man is looking forward to many days of fun playtime and scaring his sisters with his new toys.

Schleich always have such good quality products. Jack absolutely loves dinosaurs so would definitely like these, for sure!
Oh wow these look “roarsome”!! We have a few Schleich models and the kids love them, they are so detailed and colourful which really enhances play. The dinosaurs look equally fab!
They have a lot of detail in them, you can tell they have been well designed and aren’t just pound shop bargains. My son was obsessed with dinosaurs when he was younger, I am planning on taking him to some museums once lock down is over because he has never actually seen a skeleton of one to gauge the size them
Those dinosaurs look like they’re sturdy and colorful. My oldest son used to love to play with dinos, he wold have really enjoyed these.
They look so cool and the detailing looks really nice. While the weather is (mainly) a bit nicer I’m sure he’ll have plenty of fun playing with them in the garden x
My eldest used to have a whole collection of dinosaur toys! She has outgrown them now as she is now a teen. I have never heard of a Therezinosaur before until now.
Sebby has been having lots of fun with his dinosaurs this last week. He has built his own jurassic park in the garden
