A Fun Day Out at Paradise Wildlife Park

#Gifted /#Review

The kiddies did all sorts of fun things over the summer holidays.  We had planned to go to Paradise Wildlife Park from last year but due to various illnesses, this had idea was regretfully abandoned.  Thankfully, not for long though.  As I watched Jurassic Park with my son it dawned on me that the Wildlife Park now had dinosaurs.

I know, how cool!!!

On our way, we met a baby dinosaur.

Dinosaur Attraction

Not the genetically engineered kind of dinosaurs preparing to break free and go on a rampage thankfully.  The World of Dinosaurs is one of the UK’s biggest dinosaur attractions.  This is set in gorgeous natural woodland.  It features 30 life-size, moving and roaring dinosaurs!

Of course, my son couldn’t wait to go and see them.  He did cautiously ask if they were real before we got there which was really cute.  What was even better was the look on his face when he saw the dinosaurs.  They were pretty lifelike for an almost 5 year old and he had a fabulous time skipping from one dinosaur to the next.

The entrance to the dinosaur section was fantastic!  It really added to the children’s excitement about going in to see the dinosaurs.

The dinosaurs are in a lovely setting surrounded by greenery and also you’ll find one in a pond too!!!!

Follow the path and you’ll see numerous animatronic dinosaurs each with its own sounds and movement.

OMG, a carnivore!!!

These guys look hungry!!!

Apparently, it was after his skittles!

Watch out for the T-Rex

It’s not just dinosaurs that you will find at the Wildlife Park.  There are numerous different animals to see from lions and tigers, zebras and camels, sloths and otters, monkeys and snakes, birds, farm animals and more.

Wildlife Park

Where do I start.  There is a surprisingly large amount to do here.  It’s really easy to spend the whole day here.  The kids were totally up for coming back the following day which showed me just how much they loved it.  The animal selection is great too.  We all love the super cute otters and learnt that many are kept as pets in Asia and their numbers are depleting.

The penguins were very popular and the children enjoyed watching them walk about together.

There are designated areas for each group of animals.  The children couldn’t wait to see them all and who could blame them.

Although the kids all love different animals the park had something for everyone.  From the cute and cuddly to those a little scarier.

Zebras

Who doesn’t love zebras.  The kids were excited to see them, and so was I.  It’s great you can get so close to the animals.

Meerkats

These guys were super cute and seemed to like having an audience.  They would run around, snuggle with each other and pose for pictures.  In fact, they seemed to be better at posing for pictures than my children.

Camels

Of course, we had to make sure we paid them a visit. We didn’t want them to get the hump!

White Lions

These majestic creatures are enormous and you can get extremely close to them without them having you as a snack.  The children were fascinated by them.  I couldn’t help but think of the Lion King and Simba being presented on Pride Rock when I saw them lounging in the sun.

Play Areas

We also discovered some fantastic play areas.  Play areas can be found dotted around the park.  The play areas were great fun.  Naturally, the children’s faces were beaming when we discovered them.

Restaurants and Snack Outlets

There are numerous places that you can buy food.  Whether you need a meal, doughnuts, ice cream etc. they have everything covered.  The freshly made cinnamon doughnuts went down well with the kids.

Animal Experiences

You’ll also discover that Paradise Wildlife Park has some lovely animal experiences including a Tiger tea (afternoon tea with the tigers), jungle sleepover and zookeeping experience which all sound like great fun.

What did we think?

We loved our visit to Paradise Wildlife Park.  The kids had such a wonderful time.  They loved seeing the animals, playing in the play areas and can’t wait to go back.  We could have easily spent the week there and they’d still be asking to go back.  We plan to try and visit the Paradise Lagoon Paddling Pool at some time and maybe even try the safari adventure golf.

After the most amazing day, the kids were and I were exhausted.

What would you have been most excited to see at Paradise Wildlife Park?

Good Luck x
