Children also know as little mess makers have the amazing ability to create mess with minimal effort. I wasn’t aware of the amount of mess a single child could make until I had children. Ever since then I have been well educated in the art of mess creation within seconds.
Mess whilst eating, not only do they cover themselves but they can and will cover anyone else around them and the surrounding 1.5 meters square of floor at least!
It does not improve as they get older
And when it’s not mess eating it’s messy play.
Footprints in talc is apparently a fun game as is stick balloons to the wall.
Splashing in muddy puddles (thanks Peppa Pig) or helping daddy untangle wires!
Arts and crafts!
Terrible 2’s – don’t mess with the mess maker!
Very tiring work
Tidy up time.
No matter the amount of mess, they are the cutest little things and you can’t help forgive them as it is expected, just wait until they reach their teens!
As if I hadn’t had enough we now have a third mess maker to add to the clan and I look forward to taking some great photographs of the mess that he will create.
This is my entry to the Two Little Fleas competition you can read othe entries at Mum The Mad House.

Great! I did laugh out loud at the ‘Thanks Peppa Pig’ comment about splashing in puddles!
currently pregnant with my 3rd….can just imagine the extra mess lol, great post!
Adorable pictures of “messy” children – very brave and a great idea of yours to have messy, creative play in the bath – I guess both the children and the bath can get cleaned at the same time!
Whilst it can seem tiresome at the time, those are some lovely pictures and will bring back fond memories for years to come.
My 8 year old still makes a mess on his face now, he can not eat anything with tomato sauce without getting it on his chin and is not even slightly fazed by this.
Great idea to have messy play in the bath though, I also used to give my boys paint brushes and buckets of water and they would paint the patio, walls, windows etc where ever they wanted as it only dried anyway and they had a splashing good time. Only when they were saturated right though would they stop and only then to replace that activity with the warmth of bath water. 😀
Hey how did you do with this Competition? Did you win?
Aww they all look so cute. I think this is the only thing I am dreading about when baby arrives
