Top Multi Use Beauty Products

Don’t you hate it when you don’t have everything you need in your beauty bag when you are out and about, or when you are preparing for a night out. It is helpful to be aware that some products have multiple uses. This means that in reality you don’t need a product for everything, just a few carefully thought out items that can have multiple uses. In this post, we look at top multi use beauty products. That way you can have alternatives where needed.

Let’s look at some of the great products that can be used for more than simply their intended purpose.

Lipstick

Lipstick is a great product that has multiple applications. If you’re strapped for space in a beauty bag or have run low on blush on a night out one lipstick can get you a long way. Lipstick can also be used instead of blush on the cheeks. It’s a great way to give you a more natural looking flush look. It’s simple enough to do, add a little to your cheeks and blend until it leaves a natural finish. The same can be done if you want to add colour to your eyelids. Simply add and blend. This work perfectly if you wear brown shades of lipstick.

Lip Balm

A simple lip balm with natural ingredients such as shea butter can work wonders for various things. It’s a great beauty hack to be aware of. Lip balm, aside from being great on lips can also be used for a number of other purposes. If you have a dry patch of skin on your face, hands or arms, simple add a little lip balm if you don’t have moisturiser at hand. This will add much needed moisture to the skin and improves the appearance of dry skin. It also works well on cuticles.

Lip balm can also be used to tame frizzy hair. All you need to do is rub a little on your hands and run your hands over the frizzy part. It can make a reasonable improvement but be sure not to overdo it or hair will then look greasy. This also works well for eyebrows. You can also use lip balm to keep lipstick off your teeth by rubbing a little over the tops of teeth behind the lips. Another great tip is to use lip balm on eyelashes as it gives them extra volume.

Lip Liner

Lip liner is another great beauty product that has multiple uses. This is often used as a lipstick as well as a lip liner. But, there are other uses that can also make great alternative uses. Lip liners can also be used as a brow pencil as well as an as eye liner. They can also be used as an eyeshadow or a blush depending on the shade.

Eyeshadow

Eyeshadow can also have many multiple uses depending on the shade. As well as an eyeshadow this can be used as a brow powder to give a bolder more solid eyebrow appearance. It can also be used as an eyeliner. In order to do this, you’ll need an angled brush. Simply dampen the brush, dip it into the eyeshadow and apply. Eyeshadow can also be used on the cheeks. This can also work as a highlighter depending on the colour. If your eyeshadow is the same colour as your hair, you can use it to touch up your roots.

Mascara

So you’ve got your mascara and begin to put your eye make up on then you can’t find your eye liner. What do you do? That’s easy enough. Grab an eyeliner brush and use the mascara to line your eyes. Mascara can also be used to touch up roots and can give a better coverage on them than eyeshadow.

Concealer

On occasion, I’ve run out of foundation. It wasn’t long before I discovered that if I combine concealer with moisturiser this can work well. Apply the mix to your skin with a sponge. Blend carefully and you’ll get a good coverage. A darker concealer can be used for contouring. Cream contours are most often more expensive than a concealer so it makes sense to use these instead. To do this, you simply need to get one that is 2-3 shades darker than your base shade. Lighter concealers can also be used as highlighters and as light tinted moisturisers.

Moisturiser

Moisturisers for the body can also be used on fly away or frizzy hair. I discovered this when I went abroad and my hair began to frizz. This not only tames but also moisturises the hair. Moisturiser can also be used instead of shaving cream if you want to dry shave. It helps reduce the risk of irritation which is always a bonus.

Hairspray

This is a great product with multiple uses. Did you know you can spray this on tights to help prevent runs? You can also spray  this on your legs and on the inside of dresses to stop them riding up. Hairspray can also be sprayed over freshly painted nails to help them to dry faster. You can also use hairspray on eyebrows. Spray a little on your finger and whip this across you eyebrows as this will help keep them in place. Spray bobby pins with hairspray, it helps keep them in place and keeps hairdos from falling out.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my post Top Multi Use Beauty Products and found it both interesting and useful. As you can see there are plenty of great products that we all have that can easily have more than one purpose if we need them too.

HA! I didn’t realise you lipstick could double up as blusher. If I am honest make up scares me so I would probably end up with 2 round red spots on my face.

Your post about multi-use beauty products is incredibly informative and practical. It’s refreshing to see how everyday items in our beauty arsenal can serve multiple purposes, especially when we’re in a pinch or need to streamline our routine. The tips you shared are not only clever but also offer creative solutions to common beauty dilemmas.

After reading your post, I couldn’t help but reflect on my own experiences with multi-use beauty products. I’ve definitely dabbled in using lipstick as blush in a pinch, and it’s surprising how well it can work for adding a natural flush to the cheeks. Similarly, lip balm has been a lifesaver for me beyond just moisturizing lips – I’ve used it to tame frizz in my hair and even as a makeshift cuticle cream.

Your suggestions about using eyeshadow for various purposes, like filling in brows or even touching up roots, are genius. It’s fascinating to see how versatile these products can be when we think outside the box.

As for personal experiences, I’ve occasionally used concealer not just for covering blemishes but also for subtle contouring. Mixing it with moisturizer for a makeshift foundation is a fantastic idea that I’ll definitely try in the future.

I’m always too scared to give products a try for other uses. I love the lip to cheek look when I see other people doing it, but you can guarantee that if I try it myself I’d end up with lippie that didn’t want to blend into my skin XD

  32. Pamtay

I once thought I could use brown eyeliner as eyebrow pencil, not really noticing the glitter until I saw my eyebrows outside so be careful 🙂
