I’m surprised to hear how many men allow their wives / partners to shop for their clothing! Seriously is my husband one of the few that likes to shop for himself? Is he really one of the minority? I hate to think so. This Autumn whichever category you fall into I want to help take the hard work out of finding a trendy yet casual(ish) outfit for him with the must haves for this season. The aim to give you some great ideas of casual(ish) clothing now that the weather is getting cooler, not that it was particularly warm to begin with that is!
For starters take these jumpers from Ralph Lauren, they look great and can be worn with jeans for a casual yet stylish look that is bound to get the ladies to notice (or men if you are that way inclined).
Take this half-zip mockneck sweater, comfortable and guaranteed to keep you warm and looking pretty good too.
The cotton and Merino wool sweaters look great and are available in varying colours. Either of which is a must have for every man’s wardrobe and a word of advice get a mix of colours. My go to colour here would be black, navy and as additional options a grey and, or lighter blue.
This slim fitting sweater made from merino wool is not just luxurious but looks great on a toned physique. Not quite as toned as you’d like, not to worry the above selections will do the job nicely just make sure it isn’t too tight a fit.
Jeans are the perfect wardrobe staple for casual menswear. With the choice of styles and colours available it can be quite hard to choose. My suggestion would be to go for a darker colour rather than the pale stonewash. The colours of these jeans from ‘Buckle’ are what you need to aim for. The cut depends on your body type but most men can get away with the straight jean (first two photos) and the bootcut (the third photo).
Shoes are important, it’s best to put thought into your selection. Don’t forget you only get one chance to make a good impression and people may judge you by your shoes and I don’t mean the size!!! The stylist that put the jeans and shoes together in the photo just above quite frankly should be shot, they really don’t work well together at all especially in that colour!!! These lace up shoes from Boss look sophisticated and combined with the other selection help to finish the outfit.
Not forgetting of course a great quality wallet such as this gorgeous leather wallet from Bond and Knight to carry your cash and cards. Expertly cut to create a seamless and sleek design these are ideal for the sophisticated and trendy male that likes the finer things. These wallets come beautifully presented from a company that pays great attention to detail and as an added bonus they are MADE IN BRITIAIN!!!!!
Plenty of room for cards (fits up to 10),coins,and notesBy now I bet you are as impressed as me by the wallets and of course the outfit choices. These wallets are handmade from naturally tanned Italian leather and each one is made from one single piece of folded leather (it’s an origami wallet design, how clever). Bond and Knight work with up and coming artists (take a look at the various centre designs) and will also let you create your own unique individual design using your own artwork, photography or even your company design. There is the option of having the handmade wallet personalised if you choose by selecting the colour of the leather and having initials embossed on the wallet.
There are various options available. Pictured above is The Mark 1 Billfold, there is also a Mark 2 which is their smallest wallet. Also in the range you will find a card and passport wallet.
Bond and Knight were shortlist and then went on to win the 2015 BTAA Fashion Accessory Award of the year award. Hardly surprising once you have seen their wallets and I am really pleased that their efforts have been recognised.
Here is your chance to win one of these gorgeous leather wallets. The winner can take their pick from the Bond and Knight site and choose any wallet up to the value of £68
