How to choose Jewellery to give as a gift, featuring Tru Dimaonds

Whilst looking through the gorgeous items on the Tru Diamonds website I though I should write a blog post that could be used as a guide to help those selecting jewellery as a gift.  I find it hard to select an item form myself let alone for another so I sat and thought about the different factors that would aid me in deciding what to choose.
Personally I like jewellery that is simple, elegant and very sparkly but not excessive although when you are selecting an item for someone else you need to think about their personal preferences.
The best thing to do when selecting a piece of jewellery as a gift is to look at what the person you have in mind already owns:
1. Do they wear dainty, simple pieces:

Terms of Endearment Emerald Cut Ring 1.25 ct. t.w

or large pieces:

Impressive Emerald Cut Trilogy Ring 11 ct. t.w.
2. What colour stones do they already wear?
If the person you are buying for likes a single colour stone on their jewellery rather
than mixed or colourful stones it’s a safe bet to look for something with that in
mind.  I would choose diamonds for myself on most occasions.

3. Are they a Silver or Gold lover, personally I prefer Silver jewellery so the Platinum
clad jewellery over at Tru Diamonds is the ideal choice for me.
I would choose something like this:

Precious Pendant 2.75 ct.

But my mum would love something like this:

Heart Of Hearts Pendant 2 ct.

4. What to choose: a necklace / bracelet / ring / earrings?
What do they wear already? Some people won’t wear certain types of jewellery and
don’t forget if  you decide to buy earrings check whether they have pierced ears or
not.  If you are choosing a necklace make sure you take into account the chain length.
5. Ask their friends and family if you know them for advice.  They might be able to
steer you in the right direction as to what the intended recipient would like or even
tell you if there is something that they know they want!  I have always wanted a
diamond tennis like bracelet but with dainty wrists I haven’t found any that would
    fit me.

6. The biggest decision that you would need to make is “what’s your budget?”  This will
dictate to a degree what you will be looking at overall as you can only select within
your price range unless you decide to change it after viewing items.
