Gift Ideas for Music Lovers

It’s coming up to that time when we’re all panicking about what gifts to buy for loved ones.  Here we look at Gift Ideas for Music Lovers to help you find just what you need.

We all love music.  There are so many different options available to us.  Our love of music can span a number of genres rather than be focussed in just one area from soul, funk, rock n roll, pop or even classical. In order to fully appreciate, enjoy and make the most of music we have a range of gifts that would work exceptionally well for music lovers.

If anyone you know is into music in a big way they are bound to love the following gift ideas:

So what sort of gifts are suitable for music lovers?

Music Subscriptions

There are a number of music subscription services available. A popular one is Spotify.  This is an audio and video streaming subscription.  There is a free package but the premium package has far more options available such as listening to music anywhere even if you travel abroad, no ads interrupting your music, you can play any song even on your mobile and skip as many songs as you like – you are limited on the free version.  This will set you back £9.99 a month and if you’ve not tried them before you can get the first month for free.  You can cancel at any time, you’re not committed to a specific time period.

Personalised ‘Musical Notes’ Gold Walnut Notebook

Personalised items as we all know can be a great gift idea and make something different that bit more unique.  I discovered a personalised ‘Musical Notes’ gold walnut notebook over on the Oakdene Designs website.  It’s different and a useful gift for anyone into music.  We all write notes for ourselves or others in our home.  Keeping them in one place means we are not going to be missing messages any time soon.

Headphones

Headphones are essential for any music lover.  A good pair of headphones can transform a listening experience from background noise to a truly pleasurable experience.  Regardless of age or gender, there is a wide array of headphones on the market nowadays which will suit everyone.  The pricing for a standard pair of headphones ranges widely but you can get a good pair for between £60 and £150.  It’s best not to go for the cheapest option as it’ll mean a poor quality product that won’t last long.

Would they prefer over-head headphones?  These give a more surround-sound experience but are more difficult to pack into a bag. Some headphone users also don’t like the way large over-head headphones look when out and about.  Will they be wired or wireless?  Wireless headphones need charging, a Bluetooth connection and are easier to lose.

In-ear headphones are small and compact, and can give great sound quality too, but not the same as over-head headphones. In-ear headphones give a sleek, seamless look; for office workers who use their headphones at work, these are more appropriate. The user experience also depends on the quality of the headphones bought.  Again the question wireless or wired. The best wireless earbuds are light, portable, simple to use, and only require a Bluetooth connection. Plus, they give exactly the same sound quality as wired headphones.

Music Print Scarf

Not something you will see often and ideal for music lovers.  A music print scarf is certainly something a keen music lover would appreciate.  This long flowing scarf is great for daily wear and can nicely finish the look of an outfit. You’ll find it on the Not on the Highstreet website.

Speakers

There are so many options to choose from it can be hard to know where to start.  Options will be affected by the budget available.  You’ll need to consider the size or what they might need and whether it is something that they would use at home only or also take out and about with them.

Speakers from the home may be wall-mounted, floor standing, even hidden away on a bookshelf.  Prices can reach well into their thousands so unless you’ve just won the lottery you’d probably be looking at something that isn’t particularly large and doesn’t cost a small fortune.

Portable speakers need to be lightweight, compact, easy to charge, have good sound quality, and be compatible with their devices.

Power Bank

If the person you are gifting listens to music on their phone, then it is guaranteed that their battery will often be running on low.  Why not buy them a Power Bank.  These gadgets are fantastic and portable so you can charge a phone on the go and not have to worry about a phone battery running out of charge.  Sizes and designs of of phone banks vary as do the number of devices each can charge.  It’s a game-changer for anyone away from home all day that use their phone often whilst travelling and during breaks and enjoy listening to as much music as they can.

A Chocolate Guitar

I think the chocolate alone would be enough to entice anyone.  A chocolate guitar is obviously a great treat for a music lover.  This is available over on the choconchoc website and is handcrafted milk, white and dark Belgian chocolate.  The chocolate guitar is surrounded by musical notes and something I know my children’s music teacher would certainly enjoy.

Summary

There are loads of great gifts you can buy for music lovers.  Their taste, personality and of course the items they already own will affect your choices when purchasing items as gifts.

What would you gift a music lover?

Headphones are always a good option in our place as they tend to lose them often. Power banks are another gift that is always appreciated here, great to take on days out.

You have shared some wonderful gift ideas here. It is always difficult to know what to buy, especially for our teen. A music subscription might be a good option.

A Spotify subscription would be a great present! Just make sure the recipient doesn’t have one yet 😅 Pretty much everyone I know has one, haha. If they don’t though, I’m sure they’d love one, as it’s a truly great music subscription service!

Great suggestions! I actually just purchased a new pair of over the head Bluetooth headphones and I LOVE them. They do come with a nice carry case, which makes it easy to throw them in my bag when I’m heading out camping (which was a must for me). We occasionally book in a radio-free area of our provincial parks, but I can’t handle being music free for a full weekend. With my new headphones, I can kick back in my hammock and enjoy some tunes.

What great ideas… I think gifting a music subscription is a great idea. I have Spotify and absolutely love it. Don’t know how I ever did without. Nothing like the gift of music!

Great gift ideas, we would all be lost without spotify so that would be a perfect gift, also love the powerbank idea as I always panic if my phone battery gets low
