We use soap daily so it makes sense to buy a product that is good for our skin and contains sustainably sourced ingredients. Pure and organic essential oils are used to give products their gorgeous natural scents. Soap bars are packaged in eco-friendly (recyclable or compostable) materials. Christmas Gift Guide 2022 No1 - Opies

Opies

I came across the Opies website last year when I couldn’t find any green peppercorns in brine in stores. These peppercorns are amazing and perfect for anyone that loves making peppercorn steak and other tasty dishes. Opies has some great items on their site including cocktail products, olives, fruit compotes, pickles, ginger products, and fruits in alcohol. Although they don’t do a massive product range like some, what they do have is very good!!! You’ll also find some wonderful recipes there too.

I’ve been buying the various Opies fruits in alcohol for a number from supermarkets each year for Christmas for what feels like forever. I know, I sound like a superfan but their products are pretty fab. The fruits in alcohol are lovely. My parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles, and my husband have all enjoyed numerous selections of these jars as gifts.

The options for these include: pears in luxardo amaretto, apricots in luxardo dark rum, cherries in luxardo kirch, forest fruits with cassis, peaches with Courvoisier VS cognac and pineapple with luxardo spiced rum. I’m sure you’re all drooling now!!!!! These can be used in a wide range of recipes or simply over plain yogurt, to jazz up oats for an indulgent breakfast treat or on their own. These fruits in alcohol are perfect for gifting individually, adding to a stocking or a hamper for a foodie. Foodie hampers are easy to make. You’ll find a few different Opies products can be added alongside anything else the recipient would enjoy.

I love the sensory retreat idea. This is perfect for kids especially who have autism and ADHD and need time to unwind in order to ensure that they are able to self regulate. People with kids who aren’t neuro typical and are in fact neurodiverse don’t see the struggles these children face daily and it leads to negative comments and attitudes which at best are very unhelpful and a lot of the time contribute to the stress these children face when out and about. These children are not bad kids and are not naughty they are struggling to adjust to their surroundings and when you factor in the massive crowds that occur generally let alone at Xmas/black Friday etc etc it all adds up and causes them to act out because they simply cannot self regulate.

    1. admin

It is something different. I love that they have different gift selections. I didn’t even know about the self-heating masks until recently.
