Kids Christmas Gifts for Under £20 2022

#Ad. This Christmas is going to be one of the hardest for many of us. The majority of the population will need to make sacrifices and cut down on their spending over the coming months. The great thing is that Christmas gifts for kids don’t have to be expensive. My post – kids Christmas gifts for under £20 2022 will show you some wonderful gift options from the fabulous Wicked Uncle (click to take a look at their great toy options) that will help you gift something awesome but also affordable. I should also mention there is a fab competition to win a £40 spend with Wicked Uncle.

Kids Christmas Gifts for Under £20 2022

In this post, I won’t be looking at gifts for girls or boys specifically just different gifts that cost £20 or less for ages 10 months to 10 years old. You’ll find plenty of gift inspiration here for each age group. I’ve found the best products available on the site for each age. Gifts have been chosen as they are educational and also help nurture other skills and of course, are fun!!!

10 months -2 years old

Funny & Cuddly

There is a lovely range of items here but one of my favourites are the Windy Bum teddies (£16.95, 10+ months). These come in 3 options, a monkey, unicorn and teddy. These adorable soft toys will leave your child in fits of laughter. Who doesn’t think farts are funny, especially at the age of 2. All you need to do is give the toy a little bump and it starts to fart, laugh, and shake. These encourage creative play individually or with others. They are also soft and cuddly to comfort and reassure children at bedtime or any other time.

Sing Your Heart Out

Another fab option for this age group is the mighty echo microphone (£12.95, 1+).  This battery-free, wooden microphone with a smart design amplifies sound as little ones sing into it. This allows children to throw themselves into imaginative play and can be a great confidence booster when encouraged gently to perform in front of family and friends.

So Much Fun!

Skittles – 2 options farm/fairy (£14.95, 2+). This is a fun easy to play game. Both skittle options available are beautifully decorated. The wooden ball is just the right size for little hands. This is a lovely toy for hand-eye coordination and a good one for children to play on their own or help them develop their social skills including sharing and turn-taking by playing with others.

Ring Ring

All kids love to imitate their parents. The sound telephone (£14.95, 18 months+) allows them to do this with a colourful phone of their own. This chunky design is easy for children to hold. The phone is extremely durable so it can take the constant battering one might expect from this age range.

3-5

Chocolate – Need I Say more!

Most kids love chocolate so getting anything chocolatey will bring a smile to their face. There are 3 great chocolate melt and make kits available animal/dinosaur lollipops and Chocolate London – where you can make a 3d Big Ben(£14.95, 3/4+). These are a fun activity for children (and adults) to make. It gives children a sense of achievement making something yummy they can eat.

Love Painting?

Rock painting is an activity that most children enjoy. The rock painting hide and seek fun to share (£12.99, 3+) is a great way to get children to be creative, have fun and once ready play too either indoors or outdoors. This comes with a handy booklet with tips on how to decorate stones and some suggested games they could play with them.

Puzzles – but better

I remember scratch and sniff stickers were all the rage when I was a kid and these sorts of fragranced items have been popular recently too. This has inspired my next selection the Cosmic Fruits/Campfire Friends Scratch and Sniff Puzzles (£16.95, 4+). As you can see there are 2 options and these come with 60 puzzle pieces and 3 different scents, strawberry, banana, and orange. These are great for children to work on visual-spatial reasoning, problem-solving skills increasing IQ, and more. Plus the scratch and sniff side is fun too, can’t forget that!!

Squirting Robot

Next up, the Quizzie robot (£17.95, 5+) which is fantastic!! It’s super popular – as you guys demonstrated when I did my IG competition earlier this year. This is a fun interactive toy that kids will love. This cheeky little guy asks you 5 questions and if you get one wrong he squirts water at you!!! OMG no, just don’t get my hair, lol. It also lights up and has great sound effects. A good choice for a child to play on its own and with others, it’s bound to get some giggles.

6-8

Painting Set but better!

As you wade through the sea of toys on the Wicked Uncle site you’ll come across a popular one Aquarellum. There are various Aquarellum options including butterflies, sealife, dragons, dolphins, elephants (1st 3 £17.95 each, ages 5+, 6+, 7+ in that order, 2nd 2 £11.95, age 5+). These highly detailed images are all embossed with an invisible wax outline. This works by magic to redirect the colours and keep the outlines tidy. A great calming/relaxing activity for children. Great screen-free time.

Up for a Challenge?

If you have a child or know a child that likes to be challenged/ mentally stimulated then these are perfect. There are two different handheld sorting games on the site, Rami/Pallino Handheld sorting Games (£19.95 each, ages 4+ 5+). These can be played anywhere. The player uses levers and switches to guide the balls into the correct colour slots. This is a good option for developing logical thinking.

Make Your own Pearl Jewellery

Okay so this is more for girls than boys but honestly, I couldn’t resist. Seriously, you get to make your own pearl jewellery with a real pearl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope I’m conveying how fab the gift is. You could of course gift one to a boy that would love a pearl and they can decide what to do with the necklace. This comes in 3 different jewellery style options, Turtle, dolphin or unicorn. The pearl jewellery gift set (£12.95, age 6+) has a genuine cultured freshwater pearl which can be any one of 5 different pearl colours. Once opened this is added to the necklace charm.

Superhero 3d Puzzles

There are so many options but the 3D superhero puzzles (£15.95, age 6+) on the Wicked site are in a word “Wicked”. This suggestion kind of makes up for the more girly item above although can be gifted to girls that love superheroes too! There are 3 options, Batman, Spiderman, and the Avengers. These are fun to put together and kids will love looking at the finished version which almost comes to life. A lovely gift that with use helps strengthens connections between brain cells and improves the speed at which children think as well as improving attention span.

9-10

Something Different

I love the create your own Sandscape (£18.95) gift idea. This is something completely different and a great thing to keep children entertained. It’s not just fun to set it up. It’s something you can use whenever you want. Simply turn the glass frame and watch the sand cascade down like a waterfall creating different patterns each time. It’s quite soothing to watch – a bit like fish in a tank.

A Wacky Kids Game

Kids Against Maturity (£20, age 10+) is a hilarious game jam-packed with toilet humour. Perfect to play after a long day at school. It’s so good that it won the kid’s game of the year award in 2020. This game has over 40,000 crazy combinations guaranteed to have kids in fits of laughter. It’s perfect for family game nights.

Love Baking?

The Ginger Bread House Baking Kit (£12.95) is great for this older age range. By this stage, most enjoy helping in the kitchen and creating tasty treats to eat. This lovely kit has all the dry ingredients you need but a word of warning, buy extra sweets. My kids always sneak some into their mouths when I’m not looking accidentally on purpose. Ops. Be prepared. Yummy, and gives a great achievement provided it’s not eaten before they can set it all set up.

Escape Room for a Phone

I know, how crazy is that? Kids will have great fun trying to crack the code on the Phone Escape Room (£19.95, age 8+). This game is suitable for 4-8 players. Participants need to solve riddles and find the code to get their phones out. It’s a great one for family game nights and even for adults to borrow and play with friends.
