The Sun Mousse

Were you aware that tanning is a sign of skin damage?

With the occurrence of skin cancer in this country on the rise it is being highlighted more and more in the media that we need to use sun factors to help protect our skin.  Skin cancer is not the only sign of sun over exposure or lack of protection from the sun.  It is also demonstrated by the formation of wrinkles, sun/ age spots, hyperpigmentation, dry skin, collagen / elastin damage etc.

skin damage

It’s hardly surprising that as an informed mother I use high factors on myself and my children to protect our skin from the suns harsh rays throughout the year (SPF 50).  The Sun Mousse has a range of products for both children and adults ranging from factors 20 to 50 that protect against UVA and UVB rays and they kindly sent us a bottle of the children’s factor 50 to review.

The product has an extremely light moussey texture which allows the skin to breathe rather than clogging it up and contributing to blemishes.  It’s also a great base for make up (adults).

It’s easy to apply and you can control the amount of the mousse that is expelled from the container by adapting the pressure used.

As you can see it absorbs well without leaving a white greasy appearance.  It absorbs into the skin very fast and lasts up to 6 hours which means fewer applications plus as an added bonus it is extremely water resistant so sweating and swimming will NOT result in the requirement of immediate reapplication.  It’s even towel proof!!!  This can be used on those with sensitive skin too and does not contain perfume, colourings or parabens (parabens are preservatives).  The children’s mousse’s can be used from 12 months plus.  It a RRP of £17.99 it is reasonable rather than some of its cheaper counterparts that require more frequent reapplication.

The guys at The Sun Mousse have generously said that I can give away 2 of their lovely Sun Mousses, one each to two lucky readers!  Plus winners can choose which one they would like.
