We have been gifted these super cool Batman toys for the purposes of this review. All thoughts are our own.
My little man has been obsessed with Superheroes for ages. His favourite superheroes at the moment are Batman, Superman, Spiderman, venom and Thor. We were given the fabulous opportunity to review the DC 3 in 1 Batman Batcave Playset & Launch and Defend Batmobile Review from Spin Master.
DC 3 in 1 Batman Batcave Playset
You’ll need to set this up before it can be played with. The good thing is the set comes with a 4 inch action figure (with 11 points of articulation and a cloth cape). He even has 6 pieces of Batman armour he can wear. You can give these to your little one to play with whilst you set up Batmans Batcave.
The playset has 2 sides. On one, the Batcave and the other Gotham City. In addition, it consists of 3 levels that can be stacked together for one large playset or split apart and played with separately. There are also stickers to help set the scene.
The different parts come in separate bags making it easier to assemble each section without sorting through everything to find the parts.
The playset has some great features including a secret escape door, an armory reveal chamber, zipline, jail cell, moving telephone pole, light-up bat signal and bat computer and more.
Children can let their imaginations run wild as they come up with different storylines to play out making this perfect for creative play.
Requires 3 AAA batteries, these are not included.
Suitable for ages 4+
What Did We Think?
It’s a great playset. It’s nice and big, and sturdy to, so good for heavier handed children too. The playset is made up of a mix of plastic and chipboard and there are quite a few bits to be put together so adult supervision will be required for the initial setup. There are a number of moving parts that add to the fun.
My son loved that the bat signal lit up and that there were so many different parts to the toy including the armour. The second the armour was out of the packaging he was ready to put it straight onto the Batman figure. It was easy to put on and take off for little hands. He was extremely excited to see that this had so many great stickers to really help set the scene. He also thought that the zipline was “cool!”

It was a shame that it didn’t include a villain in the set so that children have someone for Batman to battle. Luckily, my son wasn’t too worried. He just used other toys to take on the role of bad the guy. It was lovely to see him using his imagination and creating new scenarios to play through. Honestly, he could get lost in his little Batman world for hours and not bother his sisters even once. We loved that this could be used with the car which slots in nicely underneath.
Launch and Defend Batmobile
You’ll need AAA batteries for this. The Batmobile is rechargeable via USB. This remote control vehicle comes with a 4 inch Batman action figure and controller.
Simply press the red button on the controller and eject Batman from the car straight at the villains. The controller is easy to use giving the car a full range of movement. The car works well on wooden floors and is also suitable for use on carpets. The Batmobile can reach a top speed of 4 miles an hour. It will need recharging after 25 minutes.
Ideal for creative play, this is super good fun for any child and of course those young at heart. Batman fans will be especially pleased with this super sleek vehicle, it looks fantastic!
Suitable for ages 4+
Again this is a solid toy and really good fun to play with. It’s been racing around our home since my son got his hands on it.
What Did We Think?
A remote control car is good fun all the time. Having a themed remote control car with one of my son’s favourite characters was even better. I loved that the USB is attached in a hideaway section under the car, so you don’t need to worry about losing it. The batman figure that comes with this fits snugly inside the car ready to zoom off and save the day. It’s a great gift for a Batman fan!

They do get into video games at that age.
