Afternoon Tea Week 2022

The week of the 8th to the 14th of August is one of my favourite times of the year. It’s Afternoon Tea week 2022!!!! Afternoon Tea is one of the most quintessential of British traditions. It’s something we should all partake in at least once. Although, you’ll most likely discover once isn’t enough with the wealth of fabulous options available. Gone are the days of the basic afternoon tea. These days they are so much more exciting and some are quite adventurous and delectable.

Afternoon Tea Week 2022

Afternoon Tea Week 2022 & a Fab Competition

Varied Pricing

Afternoon Tea week is one of the best times to go for an afternoon tea with the number of special offers you’ll find available. Not only are there great offers but venues will compete to make their offerings both visually appealing and delightfully delicious. Some will be adult focused, some will be for children and others for both. Enjoy on your own, go with a friend or even the family. The choice is yours and prices on the Red Letter Days website start from an incredibly low £22 for Afternoon Tea for 2 people. Yes, you read that correctly!!!! I know, I thought that was amazing too. In addition, if you wanted to just have a little time out with the kids or natter with friends, you can even find a cream tea for 2 for a meer £9.

Hopefully, you didn’t fall off your chair whilst reading the previous paragraph as I have so much more to tell you.

Afternoon Tea Week 2022

A Wide Range of Different Afternoon Tea Locations

The settings for some of these afternoon teas are varied. You could select Harrods Tea Rooms, where you are treated by royalty by the attentive staff, a truly wonderful experience and a great treat for a loved one. Alternatively, an Afternoon Tea and spa day for a relaxing pampering day. There are Afternoon Teas available in some well-known restaurants of all levels, vineyard tours with afternoon teas, and even an afternoon tea in a castle. If you’re not limited by location then you have a choice of around 500 different afternoon teas across the UK.

Make A Day of It

Did you know you could combine an afternoon tea with a day out? Neither did I!!! I’m not sure when this was added but it’s something that would make a lovely experience and a really thoughtful gift. Go site seeing in London on a Bus whilst you enjoy a tasty afternoon tea.

For those that love a mystery, you can enjoy a yummy afternoon tea and then play detective and try to solve a mini mystery with your guest.

Really want to impress? A theatre trip and afternoon tea would work well. There are different options that vary in price.

Love Champagne bubbles? Prefer gin? Maybe Prosecco is more up your street. You have a range of different afternoon tea options so you’ll find one that is perfect for your taste.

Afternoon tea is definitely one of my favourite things to do in London. London has so many options to pick from when it comes down to afternoon tea, with so many having unlimited refills of food too. One of my favourite has to be the Rosebery at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel and the Winter Garden at the Landmark. They both offer unlimited food and drink. It’s just such a lovely relaxing to do in the hustle and bustle of London. Everyone needs a wind down

Love this! Afternoon tea is one of my favourite things to do with some of my friends – it’s always fun to see different cities’ takes on what afternoon tea is.
I don’t get to meet up with one friend, Lyndsey, very often so when we do get the chance to do something it’s usually afternoon tea in a new city in the north of England and we carefully go through each part and review it. So far, the best was a small cafe off a side street in York that served heavenly cheesecakes – the server warned us that their large teapots hold about 6 cups so we revised our order to 2 pots, I don’t think the poor guy was expecting us to make it through that much tea!

I love going for afternoon tea’s in particular with my mum. We’re currently trying to test out as many that’s on offer in Cornwall although we’ve only managed 3 so far! I love how it takes us away from our normal daily living into a feeling of luxury.
I never knew you could have an afternoon tea whilst incorporating it into a day out. We normally walk the grounds of the location we’ve chosen but to have one in the actual activity sounds really interesting.
