Kids love superheroes. They’re great characters with super-cool abilities that capture the imagination of little minds. These are fun toys for girls and boys and the range of products available in this area is extensive. Take for instance Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Series 2 Toys inspired by the characters found in the series launched in 2019. The heroes have returned and ready to launch their attack on all villains.

Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Series 2 Toys
My son was sent some of the new toy range to play with. These characters are squishy and stretchy like the previous characters available but now also have some extra features including aqua blast energy so they can squirt water at their opponents, new fillings, and weaponised arms!!! Each of the heroes has its own unique filling hidden in the goo. Give it a squish and you’ll notice each character’s goo has a different addition from the others. When you squash them the slime bulges and the fillings can be seen. This new range is even more durable than before.
The characters we were sent were:

Goo Power: Crypto Freeze
This cool cat is equipped with an icy sword of stealth in place of one hand. He uses this and the new water blast attack feature to defeat his enemies. The Panther has a scrunchy, icy filling which bulges as little hands squish him.

Goo Power: Super Spider Power
Redback the spider is full of gloopy red goo. Hidden inside are white webs that are revealed when you squeeze him tight. This master of entrapment and strikes out at super fast speed at his enemies. Bad guys, watch out for his deadly claws!

Goo Power: Tsunami Flexi
This soft, squishable shark is full of slime and mini polystyrene beads. Squash him and see. His right arm has a trident in place of a hand giving him the perfect weapon to defeat his foes.
What Did My Son Think?
They were a hit with him. He then decided they needed to train with each other to fight the bad guys. The characters really appealed to him even though he hadn’t seen the cartoon before. We will now be looking to find them on YouTube so he can play along with his new toys defeating bad guys.
My son enjoyed squishing each toy, watching the gooey slime inside bulge and seeing and poking at the fillings. He also enjoyed pulling their legs and arms to see them grow 3 times their size and then return back to their original shape. Naturally, he took great pleasure in filling their heads with water aiming and firing at the other toys and also his sisters. They’re great for water fights in the garden and also bath play. A discovery that little man thought was funny was that the clothing could be removed from the characters and swapped around.
What Did Mummy Think
It’s a great, mess-free way to play with a gooey toy. His imagination way immediately sparked the second he saw the toys. They’re not just figures, there is more to them as they can be squished, stretched giving it an ASMR like quality. The toys reform like stress balls for continuous fun. This can be beneficial in reducing stress, improving mood, blood flow and even digestion. The toys are great for creative play as children can create their own adventures and battles with the various characters. The toys were pulled, poked at and squished yet surprisingly they didn’t break. Clearly, little man is the perfect age for these squishy superheroes.
Toys are top heavy so are unable to stand up very well on their own. Other than that we didn’t find any negatives. These are great toys.

Collect all 7 from series two. Heroes Blazagon, Pantaro and Thrash from the first series return with the all new super fun aqua blast feature. They have been joined by 4 new heroes – Redback, Frill Neck, Gigatusk and Hydra.
Watch out for the limited edition 3 headed hydra!!!

These look pretty cool, my kids would love playing with these, i can see my youngest even playing them in the bath or pool, my son would like the characters though, great review.
My son takes them into the bath every time he goes now!

They’re great fun. Just be sure to take a jug of water to refill.

I just showed this blog post to my son and he totally want one! The Heroes of Goo Jit Zu looks so fun and squishy and I am sure it is perfect to relax kids who are stressed
They can double up as a stress toy which is handy.

They probably would. My son loves them. I think they’re his favourite toys at the moment.
I have not heard of goo jit zu series but yeah these toys look so good. I loved that its squishy…. the water splurting out is second. All over they are super cute.
They are good fun. Great for little ones to squish and roleplay with.
