Non Toxic Nail Varnish for Little Princesses

My little ones love to play with makeup and nail varnish but various articles in the press have made me more and more concerned about the products that they use.  Not everyone is aware of the nasties that lurk within their gorgeous coloured nail varnish and blinded by the pretty appearance we don’t always think and often as use them on children.  Children’s bodies are not as well adapted to deal with toxins as adults so we need to look at being a bit more responsible by being careful with what we let them use.  Don’t worry though, not all nail varnish is out.  There are brands that have looked into this and have brought us nontoxic nail varnish such as Miss Nella.  These guys make nail varnish specifically targeted at children.  It does NOT contain chemicals such as Dibutyle Phythalate (DBP), Toluene and Formaldehyde (known as the toxic trio) which dominate many of the children’s nail polishes currently on the market and have been linked to cancer, birth defects in pregnant women, liver and kidney damage and other conditions.

Miss Nella is an odourless nail polish aimed at little princesses and as I have 2 I felt that this would be great to try it and of course report back with my findings.  No need for nail varnish remover either as the nail varnish peels off.  As an added bonus the nail varnish is odour free (I did notice a little odour when I purposely smelt the bottle but nothing like normal nail varnish)!

It’s great that you can select the colours you like to make up a mini pack which costs £15 (contains 3 nail varnishes).

We chose a range of purples, Bubble Gum (light purple), Butterfly Wings (light purple with glitter) and Poppet (a darker purple).

Our opinion

These are great for my daughters as they dry super fast and my girls have no patience so normally ruin their nail varnish.  With this one we didn’t have any problems.  On their site it says it last 3-4 days which it did with one daughter though my youngest managed to get all hers off within the day but then she did go to a kids club so she was running around putting her hands all over the place, sweating, washing her hands etc.

I have a lovely giveaway for all you lovely readers.

Lol Jessica, it is quite fun just peeling it and as it dries fast it doesn’t take long to get to peeling time!!!!
