According to a recent study, 85% of people have low confidence. This is particularly alarming as low confidence can impact our lives in numerous ways. For example, it could affect our interaction with staff and customers at work which affects performance levels and the chances of getting a promotion. It can also impact our relationships with others and may even affect our being in a relationship with a partner. With that in mind, I am looking at some simple ways to boost confidence that you can start putting into practice from now.

Simple Ways To Boost Confidence
Revamp Your Wardrobe
Your wardrobe should reflect your personality, which doesn’t necessarily mean you have to keep up with the latest trends. Instead, when revamping your wardrobe, you should focus on finding clothes that make you feel good. In finding your own style, you will also notice that your confidence will grow!
Brighten Your Smile
The more we smile, the more confident we feel. This is because the act of smiling triggers the release of happiness-inducing hormones, which in turn allow us to adapt to a more positive mindset. However, this is easier said than done if you aren’t a fan of your smile. Thankfully, getting in touch with Dentists in your local area can help eradicate this problem, as they can put the necessary plans in place to help brighten your smile considerably. For example, you could look into cosmetic services or arrange a polish and scale. That reminds me the husband needs to book in a cleaning!!!
Start Exercising
After a busy day, it’s easy to understand why you might not feel like exercising. However, exercise is more than just a tool for weight loss. It can help you tone, plus don’t forget going to a gym or leisure center means there is a social side to this, it also boosts your feeling of wellbeing and soooo much more!!! Instead, it’s a way to improve your confidence by changing your relationship with your body. Whatsmore, exercise benefits your mental health too! The more regularly you working out, the better you’ll feel!
Focus on Self-care
If you don’t already pamper yourself regularly, then it’s time to make room on your schedule for daily self-care. While this may seem like an indulgence, there’s nothing wrong with making yourself feel good! Furthemore, self-care can help with your confidence as it shows you the benefits of investing time into yourself and your needs.
Challenge Negativity
Negative thoughts can sometimes seem inescapable, but you can actually learn to drown them out by replacing them with positive ones. For example, each time you catch yourself thinking negatively about yourself, try to say three positive things out loud instead. These positive comments can be about absolutely everything, from your appearance to your personality. The more practised you become at this habit, the easier it will be to discount negativity. You’ll also find that you’re able to recite more and more positive things about yourself each time, which will also do wonders for your confidence.
Surround Yourself with the Right People
Confidence is internal, but it is still affected by a range of external factors, including those we choose to spend time with. As a result, if you spend your days around overly negative people, or those who put you down, your confidence is sure to tumble. This means that you need to cut ties with toxic friends, or at least minimise your contact with them, in favour of those who make you feel happy and confident!
These are just a few simple ways to boost confidence and are simple enough to do. What do you find helps boost your confidence?

I think surrounding yourself with the right people is the biggest and most important tip on this list. You can do everything else right, but if you have negative people in your life, they can suck it all right out of you.

Yes, this is a subject I could talk about for a long time. Lots of people lack basic confidence, often for no good reason at all. But what I find just as interesting are people who exude confidence but who are in fact very unsure of themselves. A guy I work with is a good example. He confidentially called me on the phone today, from his office, to state that he didn’t like an email I sent. All I did was clarify some numbers that he sent in a prior email. This is a guy who everyone thinks is highly confident, but I and several others know the real truth.
Surrounding ourselves with the right people can be such an important step, too.
