I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before but coconut has to be one of my favourite aromas. In fact I’m wearing a coconut body oil right now!!!! This fragrance is so popular at mine that even my children want to use it. But the oil I have been using now has strong competition for the favourite product spot in our household by products from Organic Shop available in Tesco!!!!
I know, in your mind you’re thinking really????
Yes, Tesco have been watching the trends in the market and have sourced this wonderful NEW organic range of products that are pretty varied too which means that you can have gorgeously scented, paraben free, 100% cruelty free goodies to use on you hair and body. All these products are a minimum of 98% naturally sourced ingredients with at least the lead active ingredients always being Organic. Their products proudly bare the Soil Association’s COSMOS NATURAL Certification for Organic Shop products.
All products with the Soil Association COSMOS logo guarantee:
No Animal testing
No GM ingredients
No Controversial chemicals
No Parabens and Phthalates
No Synthetic colours, dyes or fragrances
The demand for natural organic beauty products is growing rapidly with all the information in the news about the chemicals we are putting on and in our bodies daily and the associated health risks.
The coconut product range is limited to 3 different products at this stage but I am sure they will be such a success that this will quickly increase.
We all know coconut oil is good for us whether it is used internally or externally and so using this for our hair makes perfect sense. The addition of shea butter adds to the moisturising properties making this a great nourishing treatment for hair.
Organic Shop coconut range at present includes:
Coconut & Shea Shampoo 280ml
OMG!!!! the smell is divine. This was the first I opened of the three items I opened and the scent hit me like a speeding train. OMG it was fabulous and can only imagine it would taste something like the delicious Batida de Coco cocktail that I love. Okay, so I’ve not tasted the shampoo it but if it was edible I’d be straight in there. I did get verly excited when smelling it and accidentally got a bit up my nose lol.
The shampoo is in a pump nozzle bottle so simple enough to use. As well as not containing parabens it is also SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) free.
Coconut & Shea Conditioner 280ml
Again in a pump nozzle bottle and with an exquisitely tropical coconut aroma this leaves the hair feeling nourished. It’s been designed for dry and damaged hair to work as a restorative and leave it looking healthy. The conditioner provides a boost of hydration to repair split ends and smooth frizz. This product does not contain silicones.
Coconut & Shea Butter Hair Mask 250ml
If your hair need that little extra help then the hair mask is what you need. It works like the conditioner but is that bit stronger so perfect to treat sun damaged hair. Again like the conditioner this provides a boost of hydration to repair split ends and smooth frizz. The mask can transform dull try hair into glossy, healthy looking hair and doesn’t contain silicones.
Organic World believe that natural products should be available to all and as these are retailing at just £2.50 (reasonable for organic products) it does make the products sound even more attractive.
With all the news about plastic filling landfills and the sea I thought I should add the containers used are recyclable – another reason why we should all be getting our hands on these great products.
What Did I Think?
I loved how these made my hair look, feel and smell.
My hair had a great shine after use and felt soft and less brittle.
The hair mask gave my hair that bit extra nourishment which it really does need as I colour it often. I used this every two to three washes.
The pump dispenser on the shampoo and conditioner made it easy to use and control the amount of product so that there was no waste.
For a natural, cruelty free product this is extremely well priced.
I was very pleased the plastic can be recycled.
There are other products within this range with a variety of different fragrances all of which sound rather delicious including; Raspberry and Acai, Honey and Avocado, Pomegranate and Patchouli, Mango Sugar Sorbet, Summer Fruit Ice Cream to name but a few. So next time you visit Tesco make sure you keep your eyes peeled for these scrummy sounding beauty treats.
