(ad) I love having plants in my home and I’m not the only one. Plants can really liven up the home and make a room look far more inviting and add to the relaxing effect it can have on our minds. With current circumstances as they are there has been a much larger desire for people to have plants in their homes. The sales of plants have increased rapidly as a result. The choices of plants and pots is extremely varied, but, if you fancy an alternative display option then why not consider looking at something a little different such as floating planters?
No, I’ve not gone mad. It’s a pretty smart product, looks good and can be found over on the Floately site. They have a range of great products that make wonderful additions to the home. These are a lovely focal point for a room and also make fab gifts.
The items that I loved the most on their site were the Airsai floating planters. But then I am keen to increase the number of plants in my home.
About Airsai Floating Planters
These look pretty fabulous and there are four different eye catching designs available. The largest bases size is 13.8cm x 13.8 x 2.3 cm. The floating planters can easily be placed on the centre of a coffee table, mantlepiece, window sill and serve as a pretty decorative piece in the home with additional health benefits which we will touch on a little later.
Airsai’s spinning technology, using magnetic levitation means that the plant will be exposed to 360 degrees of sunlight. As a result, the plants will grow straighter and healthier.
You can put any house plant into the planter including herbs that will grow and provide you a steady supply to use in your cooking.
It’s easy to use. Simply add in the soil, pop in the plant, plug it in and then gently place the planter above the base gently and hold it over until it floats without giving any resistance. The planter should then float and turn by itself.
The Importance of Plants in the Home
We don’t really think about how having plants in our home can benefit us. There was a spate of factually incorrect information a number of years back claiming that the addition of plants to the home can help improve the air quality. These quoted NASA research as a source yet the actual research did not support the claims. This was because air is constantly changing with windows and doors being opened, so the plants do not have the opportunity to remove toxins from the constantly changing air in the home. Plants within the home can however still have benefits.
Aesthetics
We often have items in the home purely due to their appearance whether they are ornaments, pieces of art etc. Plants have their own beauty and can add to the look of the home. Having them in a chic, modern planter adds to the appeal. They can even add a splash of colour if the plants flower. The good thing is there are plenty of plant types to choose from to allow for your taste and colour scheme in your home.
Mental Health Benefits
Having plants in the home or even on your desk at work can help ease anxiety and reduce stress and improve mood. Research has shown that being amongst plants can greatly influence our mental well being. They exert a soothing effect on the mind. Having plants in a room also improves creativity and productivity so is ideal in a work environment when it’s from home or at your place of work.
Physical Health Benefits
As a result of the stress reducing effects, the knock on effect is the lowering blood pressure. Having plants within the home has been shown in a study to reduce fatigue and headaches by between 20-25%.
