When Cadbury changed the recipe for their crème eggs sales dropped dramatically.  The new recipe simply didn’t cut it and Cadbury crème egg enthusiasts began to lose interest resulting in a 6 million pound loss.  What was the fuss about?  They changed the Cadbury dairy milk shell to a standard cocoa mix chocolate.  But all is not lost!!!  Brownie Heaven has come up with the novel idea of creating something simply so divine that once discovered by all Cadbury crème eggs fans old and new they will be flocking to buy this unique and amazingly addictive sweet treat whatever the chocolate shell is made of.  A Cadbury crème egg within a chocolate brownie isn’t something that you will find at any supermarket as it is a specialist product for chocolate lovers all over the globe.

Ok so it sounds unusually and you could be forgiven for thinking really a brownie with a crème egg centre does that even work??? Well I assure you it really really does.  The brownie is for want of a better word heavenly.  The rich moist melt in the mouth chocolate brownie is sweet, chocolaty and delicious and goes mouthwateringly well with the ingenious biscuit crumb coating with which each brownie is covered to give it the appearance of a scotch egg.  Nestled in the centre a Cadbury’s crème egg full of the classic gooey fondant yumminess that young and old adore.

DSC01099This arrives in the post beautifully presented in a black box.

DSC01063DSC01076DSC01087There were four in the box thankfully as the children sniffed them out the second they arrived.  That was one gone before I had a chance to breathe.  This was met with approval as you can see!DSC01120I opened another, cut it up into bite sized pieces, took a small one to the table where my husband sat to try with the intention of returning and having more.  Returning less than five minutes later I was shocked and disappointed to see that it had all gone.  Greedy!  The third was opened and cut into pieces, this time I had learnt my lesson and ate a few before the locusts descended.  I saved the last for the next day as I didn’t fancy my chances of getting any more with the frenzied creatures also known as my family looking for even more.  Clearly a good sign but be warned if you plan to get to enjoy some of these in peace and quiet without having to fight off other chocoholics wait until no one is home!
