Sakura Sushi Finchley

There seem to be three levels of Sushi in this country, inedible, mediocre and simply delicious.  It appears that most supermarkets sell sushi that varies between the first two and the only way to get to eat truly delicious sushi is to hunt through the numerous restaurants until you hit onto a good one.  I was extremely fortunate to discover Sakura Sushi Finchley on a meal out with some of my mummy friends.

Firstly I should mention that on arrival we were greeted very warmly by the owner and we got to sit at the best table in the restaurant.

It’s right at the back but was perfect for the 6 of us.

I think we tried a good range of the meals on the menu and each dish was beautifully perfect presented and everything was fresh and delicious.

My daughter had attacked the first dish before I could get my camera ready so we have a minor soy sauce overflow on that photo.

As  you can see a lot of attention has gone into dish presentation.

The raw fish was amazingly fresh.

I’ve never tried Sushi, but I’d like to because I love all sorts of fish. It’s good to know that I’d made the right decision not to buy any from the supermarket though!

I love sushi, its so fresh and light. I totally agree about the supermarket sushi, best avoided.
