(gifted) We’re all conscious of the worldwide waste issue especially relating to single-use plastic. Many of us now use reusable bottles for drinks for our kids to take to school and for us to take to work or whilst out and about. I was pleased to hear that the guys at Sodastream, the world’s leading sparkling water brand, have recently launched My Only Bottle, the brand’s latest reusable bottle to combat single-use plastic.
I like to drink fizzy drinks once in a while. They’re like a little treat. Don’t you just love the sensation of the bubbles tickling the mouth as you drink it, I know I do. It never really occurred to me before that I could make my own sparkling water until Sodastream got in contact. Sodastream is the worlds leading sparkling water brand. Recently they launched My Only Bottle, the brand’s latest reusable bottle to combat single-use plastic! To say I’m pleased is an understatement. Not only can I now enjoy fizzy water when I want it, I also reduce the plastic waste being added to the environment at the same time.
I was sent a limited edition Gold Spirit Classic Sodastream to play with.
It was so simple to use that within minutes we had it set up and had sparkling water ready to drink. The kids, of course, couldn’t wait to try the water and the plan is to try to use this to help me boost their daily intake.
The Sodastream machine is designed to be used with water, but, you can then flavour the water after with various products available. On their site, Sodastream have a great range of flavourings from mango, orange, peach, watermelon fruit drops and many more. The drops are unsweetened and natural. Another option is to throw in a little fruit to add flavour.

The Sodasteam Spirit is easy to use, nicely designed to give a great sleek appearance. There are a number of colour options available so you can choose one that suits the kitchen.
This is a great gadget that’ll help keep you and your family drinking more water and an ideal treat for the home or gift for a loved one. So for those with a New Years’ resolution or simple desire to be healthier in 2020 this handy gadget can help you on your way.

I would love to win a sodastream. The last time I used one was when I was little and they are much better now. I spend a fortune on bottled water and it looks a fun way to create new flavours and save money.
I never used one when I was younger but I’ assume they’ve changed quite a bit.
Love this! I always wanted a Sodastream when I was a kid, but my mum wouldn’t get me one (probably because she thought it was unhealthy). I like that these days the flavourings are natural and that the bottles are reusable. Perfect for reducing our carbon footprint! I love your idea of adding real fruit. I would try adding a mix of kiwi and strawberry for a summery twist 🙂

I love sparkling water with a slice of lemon or lime so I would keep it simple and do the same. It’s interesting to see the change of focus here that has come with time. When I was a child our Sodastream at home was all about making sugary fizzy drinks like lemonade! Now it’s water.

I had a soda stream when I was a kid but back then it was more of a gimmick than an option to help reduce waste. I’m seriously considering getting one! The more we learn about the devestating affects plastic has on our environment the more we all need to commit to reducing our usage! Also it would be SUPER fun for the kids to help me use it.

I remember having a Sodastream back in the 80s – it was very exciting but I was also a bit scared of it because if you forgot to release the lever properly it would spray you with carbonated water! These new ones look a lot easier to use. I like the sound of watermelon flavour!

It’s good to see Soda Stream bringing back fizzy drink concentrates like diet coke etc. It will hopefully make regular fizzy drink buyers swap to the reusable glass bottles and stop buying so much single use plastic ones.

I would love a sodastream. My plan for 2020 is to reduce my sugar intake. This would also mean reducing the number of diet fizzy drinks I have daily. Sparkling mineral water would be an ideal alternative and I could use the “cold” fruit tea bags to add flavour occasionally.
