Belmont Farm located in Mill Hill is a great place to take the little ones for a day out. With over 30 different types of animals that children can meet and feed this is an ideal location for a fun and educational (should you so wish) day out with preschoolers and older children. One of my mummy friends mentioned this farm to me and it sounded like our little ones would love it so naturally we had to pay them a visit.
Belmont Farm
My little girl loves animals and was very excited when she heard we were going to the farm along with a friend. There was plenty of free parking available on the site which was great, no driving around looking for spaces nearby.
We paid in the Waffle Cafe for entrance and also some bags of feed as you can give this to the animals as you meet them.
There was even a petting room where you can hold and pet rabbits and guinea pigs. The children didn’t want to leave this section, we got to pet almost all the animals there.
Then to another room to see the lambs and feed them.
We got to watch calves being fed.
Then went on a tractor ride (this costs a little more) where we saw even more animals.
You can go around the farm as many times as you like and we took advantage of this. We had arrived at the farm nice and early on the day so we could spend as long as possible before it was time to pick up our other children.
It was a lovely day and we would all agree that it is definitely worth visiting the farm. You will find that different activities are available throughout the year. For example they have had some new arrivals, some new lambs who you can go along and meet at their show area daily. I am considering taking Mr Squishy along this time, I bet he would have an amazing time!
