The guys at Handmade Naturals have been busy recently. They’ve produced some wonderful new products and I was fortunate enough to be sent some samples to try out. Those that are new to my blog will be unaware that I was trained many years ago as a Medical Herbalist (Phytotherapist) meaning I would treat patients like a doctor would but by prescribing natural medicines that I would either have bought or made myself. As a result, I have a love of natural products and it appears I’m not the only one judging from the interest I had from the last giveaway I hosted for the fabulous Handmade Naturals.
About Handmade Naturals
NOURISHING SHAMPOO 125ml
with Organic Argan, Aloe Vera & Baobab for all hair types
As with the nourishing shampoo for dry frizzy/curly hair which you will read about below this lovely shampoo does not contain colours, preservatives or sulfates (SLS, SLES, ALS). In the mix is an extremely mild detergent made from corn and coconut called coco glucoside. This is extremely mild cleansing and foaming agent which doesn’t dry out the skin so is the perfect addition to this nourishing shampoo.
This has the most fabulous fresh and natural fragrance. It’s one of those you’ll find yourself removing the cap off just to take a sniff. The ingredients work together to create a shampoo that is kind on the scalp and hair nourishing, softening, moisturising and reduces dandruff for those that have it. After use, the hair feels and smells clean, soft and shiny.
NOURISHING SHAMPOO 125ml
with Organic Argan, Aloe & Macadamia – DRY / FRIZZY / CURLY HAIR
Again a fresh natural fragrance. You’ll find no nasties here. The formulation targets those with dry, frizzy or curly hair. My hair tends to be on the frizzy side. It’s awful, without the right shampoos, when I let it dry naturally, before straightening it, my hair makes me look like I’ve been dragged through a bush backward. Attractive to birds, possibly? Why not, it looks ready for them to nest in! I found that the shampoo was perfect for calming this unruly mess and make styling far easier and less stressful. Again, I’m left with soft, silky locks that are a great confidence booster.
Organic HAIR REPAIR MASK & SERUM 125ml
with Argan, Aloe, Baobab, Marula, Kahai, MuruMuru & Camellia
This light formulation is not only extremely nourishing to the hair but also repairs simultaneously. I loved that it wasn’t packed full of harsh chemicals and is silicone-free. It can be used as a conditioning treatment by being applied to the hair and left on for half an hour before being shampooed out. Alternatively, it is also great as a leave-in serum after you shampoo. The serum helps reduce frizz, nourish dry hair and make curls look more defined.
The pump bottle is ideal to control the amount of product used and minimize waste. Again the aroma is pleasant and not at all overbearing. You don’t need to use much as a little goes a long way.
with Prickly Pear, Acai Berry, Passionfruit, Marula & Avocado ( sensitive skin )
A good serum can be hard to find so when you find one you feel like you want to tell the world. Handmade Naturals appear to have perfected this with their NEW Skin Reviving Face and Neck Super Serum. We all know that antioxidants are great for the skin and there are plenty packed into this. The serum is easily absorbed into the skin leaving it feeling soft and hydrated with no greasy residue. It has a soothing, calming and plumping effect on the skin and can be used for all skin types.

There are some fab sounding products here, the lip balm sounds amazing. I’m looking to go more natural within our house and eco-friendly, and I’m gradually replacing products as we’re using up what we have. I would love to know more about Phytotherapy as well as that’s incredibly interesting. I’ve just started getting into Dr Mark Hyman’s you are what you eat (although I’m sure these are very different things) but I’m really trying to think more about what I put on and in my body.
I haven’t come across this brand before and would love to try it out as they are trying to do the right thing.

I am isujf more and more natural products in my daily beauty product regime. I am also making skin creams where needed from natural products, rosehip oil is an amazing product too.
It’s better uor the enviromentc cruelty free and far more eco which is really important as we transcend through this new time moving forward

I recently bought a shower product from a large international company and it had a warning on the back that excessive use might cause skin and urinary irritation. Yikes!
Thankfully, we are lucky enough to have small ethical producers like Handmade Naturals that we can buy from, instead.
Now that is shocking. Yes, it sounds like these guys are where you need to buy your beauty products from.

Melanie, this is a great giveaway! SLS has no place in cosmetics or anywhere! I get dandruff if I use “normal” shampoo and mouth ulcers if I use SLS toothpaste. I have not tried Handmade Naturals yet, but their shampoo and skin reviving serum look tasty!
