(collaborative post, gifted sample) My dad loves jokes. As a result, we have bought him loads of joke books as gifts over the years. Having discovered a great new one from Daddilife Books “A Dad Joke A Day” and with Father’s Day approaching you can imagine I was keen to review it when asked. Would this book be different from the rest? Would it have some different jokes that my dad can enjoy telling the whole family?
A Dad Joke A Day
Daddilife Books
A Dad Joke A Day has been written by Daddilife Books made up of the guys that write the popular dad’s website Daddilfe. Dadilife is a website with a simple mission “to create a place where dads can learn, grow and celebrate the life that is dad.” Isn’t that lovely! Set up over 4 years ago, it’s now the leading platform for modern-day dads.
DaddiLife has written about a huge range of angles connected to modern day fatherhood. Over the last few months, they’ve been writing their first-ever book. How exciting!!
About the book A Dad Joke A Day
Within the pages, you will find “over 365 of the best, most exceedingly cringeworthy dad jokes for kids.” It’s the perfect joke book for dads and little ones to enjoy together. We all know we could do all do as much bonding time as possible with parents. The book is a great excuse to sit down, have a read and giggle with the kiddies.
The jokes have been tried and across the Daddlife community to ensure that they are the most suitable dad jokes you’ll hear. They are family-friendly, and there is one for every day of the year including leap years. These are dated in cases you lose track of where you are. So no matter what day it is you’ll have an easy to remember joke that is guaranteed to result in eye rolls, giggles and plenty of cringing.
Was It Different
The jokes are suitable to be shared with the whole family they were different from those in the jokes books we would normally buy. As a result, there were plenty I hadn’t heard before which was great as it meant they’d be new to dad too. My husband and son giggled as they read through the jokes. It was really lovely to see them enjoying the book together.
Extras
The book looks at the science behind dad jokes and why we need them. I’ve got to agree, they may be terrible in some cases but they are also super popular. I often post jokes on Facebook. The jokes are always received well. We even joke about how terrible some are.
Daddlife worked with a top comedic writer on how to tell the best dad jokes. The five golden rules will help you perfect your joke telling technique.
As an added bonus, if you buy the book you’ll also be able to get an extra 31 days worth of dad jokes straight to your inbox. Instructions for this are in the book.
What Did I Think?
The book is perfect for my dad and even my husband. It’s a great gift to have them entertaining and laughing with the whole family. Better still they can teach them to my son to tell his friends at school. It’s perfect for them to enjoy time together and also for my son and his granddad to bond after the time we’ve spent apart.
Where to Buy
The book itself comes in paperback and is available for £7.99 on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B095GQ7DYZ
