Ginger & Co created by HotHouse is a range of toiletries that are Born & Bred in England. The packaging has a great retro feel to it and reminded me very much of a brand that many of you may be familiar with, Soap & Glory.
The first thing that I noticed when I tried products from Ginger & Co was that they have a very fresh and unique aroma. These products are extremely reasonably priced so buying them won’t break the bank. I decided to run a bath and pour some of the Moisturising Bubble Bath & Wash in and see what it was like.
Wow, check out the bubbles! Well I got what I was after – a fragrant bubble bath, perfect to relax in. Doubling up as a body wash I thought I would give it a try. It leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth and you do not need much to create a good amount of lather. It also contains a mix of herb extracts which I quite liked.
Double Up
I thought I would try the Double Up too whilst I was in the bath. This body wash contains added moisturisers that actually do help to make skin feel silky soft. The body wash also has Ginger root and Juniper berry and has quite a strong fragrance.
Comforting Body Butter
The body butter has a nice scent & texture and leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturised. This appeared to be the richest out of all the creams and would work best for those with dry skin.
Hand it to me – Dreamy Handcream & Soft on You – Daily Body Lotion
The sample I had of the body lotion came in a tube like the hand cream but for picture quality I have used the above image. Both had a very similar aroma and I felt that the body lotion was a slightly thicker cream than the handcream. Due to the cold wind, central heating and me being a little naughty and not drinking enough water I am finding my hands are looking dryer and I didn’t feel that the dreamy handcream was strong enough for my needs although we are all different and so would find the hydrating quality more than adequate. The consistency of the creams was similar and both left the skin feeling very soft.
I do love to try new products and to give my opinion as to what I think about them. In this case I did like using the products and think they are great for the prices that they are available at. Also its always good to see companies making use of herbal knowlege and using plants in the making of their products. The aroma for me felt very similar between each product although there are subtle differences between some. Personally I would opt for products that are fragranced with sweet aromas or floral aromas and some of the products here did seem to have a more masculine aroma to what I am used to. I would love it if they were to increase the range of fragrances and maybe have some sweet or floral ones included.
Ginger & Co products are available at Lloyds Pharmacy (boxed gift sets) & also Semichem (sold as individual items). You can follow them at: https://twitter.com/_GingerandCo
