Dublin Fringe Festival, 6th-21st September

This innovative festival celebrates all that’s new and exciting in the worlds of entertainment, theatre and dance. And even if you don’t go to a show, the unmistakable buzz the festival creates means you can soak it up in the streets and pubs of Dublin as you explore the city.

Oktoberfest, 18th-5th October

Beer lovers are in for a treat this autumn when the world famous Oktoberfest decamps from its Munich home to Georges Dock in Dublin. It’s not just the beer that’s coming either – traders are arriving to set up a German market packed with traditional crafts and food and there’ll even be some real Bavarian barmaids in traditional dress.

With many other events going on during festival season, you’re bound to find something to entertain you, no matter what your idea of a good craic!
