I do enjoy a nice glass of wine whilst watching tv, entertaining guests and with a meal but I am a bit fussy so it’s not always easy for me to find a wine that I enjoy drinking. I decided to try a botte of Isla Negra Sauvignon Blanc that I had recently recieved.
The bottle had been chilling in the fridge and thankfully it had a twist top lid, no messing around with corks which was a relief as the husband was in the bath when I decided I should sample this.
As I removed the lid I could smell a fresh fruity, citrusy aroma.
This dry white wine combines the flavours of lime, gooseberry and grapefruit perfectly making it extremely easy to drink.
It’s fantastic on its own, with some salted nuts, with a seafood dish and even with this yummy home made Carbonara .
After drinking there was no offensive after taste or acidic feeling and I was enjoying this so much I had to take my glass and the bottle into the kitchen and leave it there for the sake of writing a clear and concise blog post rather than gobble-de goo. I really did enjoy drinking this as did my husband and it’s one that we are sure to buy for ourselves, friends and family in the future.
I liked the fact that Isla Negra wines is an environmentally conscious company using lightweight bottles to reduce their impact on the environment and reduce their carbon footprint.
I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review in fact until I start spreading this review about to facebook, twitter and google+ the company has no idea I have written this.
