Great Girls Coats for Spring 2016

It’s finally Spring, the thought of which fills me with joy at the knowledge that Summer will eventually arrive as I have placed an order for some nice warm days this year.  Recently I purchased some Tweed Black and White coats from John Lewis in their sale.  These coats are suitable not only for Winter but also the Spring months which are still rather chilly.  I love the design and quality of these coats.

DSC02227Suitable for various occasions we thought that they would be more than appropriate for our recent film premiere visit to Kung Fu Panda 3.  The coats were not only warm but looked great especially against the brightness of the red carpet!!!

Also on my shopping list are some other equally adorable coats for girls from a couple of other retailers.

This beige quilted coat with faux fur trim from RJR.John Rocha at Debenhams is a gorgeous style and I am clearly not alone in thinking so.  Pop onto their site and you will see that these are low in stock so if you want one hurry!!!

Beige is a great colour for the Spring and also Summer seasons and following in that colour theme I also found this beige belted faux fur jacket this time from River Island.  Also available in khaki both have a removable fur trim but I think the coat looks better with the trim rather than without.

Next up this adorable beige trench coat from alexandalexa.  The classic style should see you through younger sisters too provided your little one takes reasonable care of their coat.

Coat 4

I’m loving the alexandalexa site at the moment and this time deviating from beige to a classic black.  I couldn’t decide between their puffer from Kickle or Burberry.  Both are padded and lined with faux fur and would look great on my girls.

Be the Belle of the Ball

Following on from last week’s introduction to a company called Majique that has the most incredible range of jewellery I have some more lovely pieces that I will be sharing with you.

This week is all about standing out from the crowd and literally becoming ‘The Belle of the Ball’.  Standing out is simple if you have the know how.  The right piece of clothing, make up and jewellery can create a look that others can’t help but admire.

Statement necklaces have been ‘in’ for a while and this doesn’t look like it’s a fashion trend that is likely to change soon.  You can make a simple, plain outfit into something that bit more special and you can make a gorgeous outfit look even more stunning with the simple addition of the right pieces.

Always ‘in’ in fashion terms, is of course the ever stylish ‘little black dress’, but white also seems to be featuring a great deal in the SS15 collections this year.  I have drooled over hundreds of gorgeous white dresses to bring you some simply stunning outfit and accessory selections that will make you stand out for all the right reasons at any party.

The first accessory of choice is this two tone Gold / Rhodium necklace.

Not as heavy as it looks this solid necklace is the ultimate statement piece and the clasp is suitably sized to make sure that it will last.

The two tone combination looks great on most skin shades but if your especially pale then grab a bottle of tanning cream to make the contrast of colours flatter that bit more.

This is best suited to a garment with a rounded, squared or sweetheart top so why not try it with something like this from fashionema.  You can always swap the sash for one that is gold or silver.

There is nothing to say that this lovely necklace cannot lay over the neckline of the dress.  How great would the necklace look with this from Kaleidoscope.

dress 3

I have selected dresses without embellishments intentionally as that would otherwise be sparkle overkill and I am looking to create a sophisticated and chic look.

Don’t forget your Burberry bag!

The gold and white complement the dress, necklace and also the bracelet that I will discuss shortly.

Shoes are very important.  You must have some sort of heel when wearing dresses of these lengths as they make the leg look far more attractive, just make sure you have been using your Duo!  This cute selection is from Topshop and go perfectly with the rest of the items just decide which pair you fancy wearing.

Of course if you are wearing a necklace as eye catching as the one selected then you need to ensure that any other jewellery will be equally as alluring and this pretty rhodium tone bangle studded with crystals will do just the trick.

This bracelet is the perfect size so as not to be dwarfed by the size of the necklace and overlooked.  Feminine and very sparkly this bracelet can also be worn with a more casual outfit.

Make sure you look out for next week’s post where I will feature some more gorgeous Majique pieces and some fab outfits to wear them with.
