Always be prepared is a moto I like to live by where possible (not always easy with 3 children). It avoids last minute panics which I hate so this year I thought that I would extend my need for excessive pre preparation and construct and share a Father’s Day wish list to help inspire my readers as well as to assist them to avoid the last minute running around in search of a gift which isn’t really what you wanted to buy. This year Father’s Day falls on the 21st of June so you still have time to get your gift and make sure it’s good one!
This year you can be prepared as I have done the leg work for you to bring you this great wish list.
They say the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and I know that this is true for my husband, father and other men in my life which is why I loved these from Eddingtons? The pizza stone enables the user to make superb pizzas with crispy bases just like those in the finest quality Italian restaurants and to make it yourself is that much nicer as you know exactly what is in and on your pizza. The Spice Boy accompanies this nicely allowing freshly ground spices to be added thus improving the flavour of a pizza base and topping and any other meal that you may use it with. I made an amazing pizza using these so make sure you take a look at my delicious and simple recipe.
Men take just as long if not longer (in my experience) in the bathroom so why not give them the gift of luxury bath products. Noble Isle has everything you could ask for if you are looking for quality and unique products like their Whisky and Water Hand Wash that smells just like the real thing. They have a lovely selection of gift sets but you can also select items from their site and have them gift wrapped with a tag for your own message.
For those that love environmentally friendly, Fairtrade and organic gifts then The Greenshop is where you should look. Their super wolf plus dynamo/usb torch radio is a great gadget that dad will love and when he is ready to pop his feet up after a long tiring day the Tranquility candle is the perfect thing to help him relax with its gorgeously soothing aroma.
For a dad that loves to put his hand to DIY in the home why not give dad the gift of some fabulously comfortable and multi-pocketed trousers from Scruffs Hardwear. These are not only very useful but also great quality and are the first choice for builders and tradesmen alike (I did my research!).
All the men that I know love their meat, the larger the selection and quantity the better and what more could you ask other than to be able to cook it yourself. It brings out their inner caveman and is very healthy as food isn’t drowned in oil. Cooking stones are a great idea for dads who like their meat as it makes the whole experience of a meal that bit more fun with the anticipation of the food and the aroma is simply ‘fabulous’. This sharing stone from Black Rock Grill Limited is brilliant, simple to use and you will be guaranteed to look forward to your next meal on it. I made some lovely meals on mine, why not take a look at my recipes ‘here‘.
For the gadget lovers the Logitech Harmony Hub is a fun and handy gadget that makes remote controls obsolete. How often do you sit with your phone next to you in case you get a call or text when watching tv? This super gadget enables the user to use their phone to control various devices even when you’re not home.
Personalised items are also a lovely idea. Little Silver Star can make some great personalised jewellery gifts for dad whether it’s a ring, dog tags or even a key ring with a personal message or initials of family members.
The male diet plate is a great idea for dads that want lose weight but are struggling. This well thought out and clinically proven plate helps dad to manage his portions and teaches him how to eat rather than what to eat. I know some of you may be thinking putting dad on a diet, seriously! Well yes, If he needs to lose weight this is one of the most natural ways to do it and also shows dad that you want him around for as long as possible. What better way to show that you love him!
My husband is a chocoholic so he would never forgive me if I didn’t mention chocolate on this wish list even if it is mentioned after a calorie controlled plate. Belgian chocolate always goes down a treat so this box of chocolates from Getting Personal is just what you need! With 5 different fillings in milk, dark or white chocolate dad is sure to love this and the best part is you can personalise it! Just add your own photo and message.
