I’m pretty well known for being the person that makes the yummy desserts amongst my friends and family and this is a title I have worked hard to achieve and will strive to maintain. A recent example of my work is my my Almond and Amaretto Cake in a Double Chocolate Cage which not only looked good it tasted fabulous although it was enormous.
The only problem is if you make your desserts yourself when you decide you want cake or dessert but don’t have the time or the inclination to make your own ( we’ve all been there ) you are stuck as many desserts in stores are simply not up to scratch, trust me I have tried a fair few and would now rather eat nothing than suffer their sickly sweet offerings in some cases and in others sponges that are bland or too sweet and feel overly dense or like eating something equivalent to a dry aerated sponge. Fortunately I have found my salvation in the form of some excitingly scrummy dessert pots from Pots & Co.
I want your full attention now as food for me is serious business.
Pots & Co have a range of desserts by Michelin-starred chefs which have been designed to give people like myself who are not Michelin-starred chefs but enjoy flavoursome greater tasting and superior quality desserts than those found on supermarket shelves. You don’t need to be a food snob to appreciate well made delicious desserts. These desserts are handmade from the finest ingredients with no artificial colours or preservatives or flavours. The desserts that are cooked are baked are slow baked so as to give just the right texture and flavour. These desserts are even suitable for vegetarians and gluten free!
I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the following delicious flavours and must say this is one of the best dessert tasting I have done.
Little Pots of 70% Chocolate
Rich smooth and delicious once you try this you will understand when I say one pot is not enough. With a spoon attached these are easy to transport, great for the hardcore chocoholic that simply can’t be caught without chocolate on standby. This divine chocolate ganache is made with the finest 70% Belgian chocolate. The texture is gorgeously smooth and this dessert simply melts in the mouth. These are great for lunchboxes whether you are 3 or 63 I doubt there will be any complaints.
Passion Fruit & Orange Pot
Here we have a combination of passion fruit and orange compote set on a cheesecake cream that is in itself bursting with tangy flavour. It is not only a great combination but again a fabulously thick and smooth dessert that smells just as good as it tastes. I love the fruity taste of this dessert it’s a great alternative if you want a change from something chocolatey but still yummy!
Rhubard & Custard
This consists of a smooth Madagascan vanilla custard set on fresh and tangy rhubarb compote. This fabulous summer dessert flavour pot is one that you will want to eat all year around. The quality of the ingredients is clear from the taste this is a gorgeous dessert, it’s so good, you’ll want to lick the pot!
Salted Caramel & Chocolate Pot
The combination of salted caramel. chocolate and sea salt is simply amazing. The flavours work incredibly well together as the ingredients and their quantities have been combined perfectly. Possibly my favourite although I’d need to try them all again for comparison purposes of course just to make sure. This super velvety dessert is bound to be a winner with adults and children. Chocolate lovers will be running back to stores to stock up on their supplies once they have sampled this seriously good pot.
Little man was very excited about trying the delicious looking dessert.
My mini food critic in the making was in heaven, he loved the pot and sat in silence whilst he ate with the biggest smile you have ever seen. Clearly he was happy with the dessert.
We were extremely impressed at the quality of the desserts. Each had its own distinct yet delicious flavour and is a real treat for the tastebuds. I also loved the fact that most came in the cutest coloured ceramic dishes perfect for my own dessert creations. In fact if I play my cards right I may be able to fool friends and family into thinking I made them lol.
