My daughter turned 5 this year! Wow, with each of their birthdays I’m starting to feel a little bit old although at heart I’m a big kid. I’m also a keen albeit part time comper (person that enters competitions) although many of you will know I love to host them too. It’s great fun and you can come across some amazing companies this way and it’s a lovely way to get companies noticed by the general public. My girls are just like any other girls of their ages (5 and 6.5). They love to dress up and wear makeup and jewellery etc. so when I came across a competition to win a handmade dress similar to that worn by Sleeping Beauty well naturally I had to enter as the dress looked amazing.
The competition was with a company called ‘Talulah Sparkles’. Having now seen the dress you can instantly understand why I was so excited and it was wonderful to see my daughter’s reaction when she saw the dress for herself for the first time. We decided to put it on and go take some photo’s in a local park.
My daughter loved the dress so much that she wanted to wear it at her birthday party. She felt just like a ‘real Princess’. Set up by the lovely Tracy Smith Vermeire (an extremely talented lady), Talulah Sparkles is a growing company that enables children (and or their parents) to design their dress their way. These are great quality dresses and a totally different type of product from those that you can pick up in supermarkets etc. I think this is a great company and love to support the smaller companies where possible. I appreciate it isn’t easy to run your own business and have children and in many cases such people work the hardest and create some amazing items.Fear not these gorgeous designs are not just for little Princesses, big Princesses alike can also have prom dresses and dresses for any other occasion tailor made to their specification. You can use the photo’s on the site for inspiration or let your imagination run wild it’s up to you. There are also a variety of themed accessories for you to choose from.
This is NOT a sponsored post, I was so impressed by the dress that I had to feature it here for my lovely readers to see.
