Mr Squishy has been enjoying a range of new kiddie programmes recently and one of these is Thomas the Tank Engine.  He is now even making the choooo choooo sound which I must say is super adorable!  Bladez Toyz contacted us and asked if we would like to review their RC (radio control) inflatables and would you believe they had a Thomas the Tank Engine RC inflatable, what luck.  Bladez Toyz has a lovely range of inflatable toys for children with some of the most popular characters including Peppa Pig, R2-D2, Lightning McQueen, Olaf, Nemo and many more.  The inflatables range in price so you can find something for every budget.  Sizes of items also range from around 26cm to approx. 75cm

Thomas arrived and of course everyone was very excited and Mr Squishy decided he wanted to take charge of this review and show the girls how it was done.

bladez1Mummy of helped with the inflating of Thomas and putting the batteries in, batteries are not included.  Set up is very quick and simple which was useful especially as there were 3 very excited munchkins waiting to play with their new toy!

Within the box was the instruction manual, radio control handset and inflatable Thomas.  This is suitable for ages 2 and over and can be used indoors and outdoors.  There are built in sound effects although this option can be turned off and you can still play with Thomas without the sound although the little ones might tell you off firstly for playing with their toy and secondly turning the sound off.  It’s great fun seeing Thomas whizzing around the room and it’s a simple toy to play with.  The radio control handset is very easy to use and all the children loved watching him shooting around the room.

bladez2Mr Squishy got a little possessive over Thomas and so we are using this fun toy to try and teach him that sharing is caring!

Although photos are great for you to get a feel for a toy seeing it in action and the honesty of a child’s expressions can show you far more so we have made a fun little video for you to watch and hear Thomas and the children in action.

The children as you can see loved Thomas and had great fun playing with him.  From a parents perspective I must say it is really lovely watching the children having fun and also nice to get a turn to play too.  The toy is also pretty robust, Mr Squishy has squeezed the life out of poor Thomas and he still hasn’t needed reinflating yet.  He has also thrown the radio control device around the place being a pretty heavy handed child and miraculously it has survived – it’s Mr Squishy proof!

As Christmas is almost upon us and I am sure some of you have yet to buy all your gifts I wanted to mention that this is a fabulous toy for little ones and you really must check out the range of the radio control cars available as I know some big kids will be wanting some of the RC toys from the range too.

We were sent this lovely toy to test, and enjoy.  Not only has it survived, like the Duracell bunny is still going strong.  All opinions are my own (I’m sure you knew that anyway but it has to be mentioned once in a while) and we have not been influenced in anyway.  Now as I haven’t said this for a while I must remind you all that ONLY items we like get a feature on my blog hence the name ‘Fab Finds’.  We loved this toy and would highly recommend it.

  1. This product looks great – it actually moves quite fast – especially when turning…..and your kids are adorable in the video! I like the fact that it’s squishy and I’d be less like to get sort ankles with the kids driving it into me! Like your son did with you! He liked it so much he didn’t want you to have it – so sweet! My friends with young kids would like this too.

  2. This toy would be perfect for my wee boy, if only we had a bit more space! Hopefully we will be moving to a bigger house soon, so I’m looking forward to getting more of his toys out for him to play with! 🙂
