Most children love dressing up whether it’s in dress up attire or a lovely outfit expertly chosen by mummy who apparently has great taste. Phew!!! I’m so glad they think so. One of my favourite places to find adorable dresses and of course accessories (we can’t forget those) is River Island. Their products have always been of a good quality in my experience and the product range is great too.
With the birthday invitations coming in thick and fast, Summer on the horizon only just and warmer weather on its way soon I am hoping I need to start looking through the various websites of the stores I frequent to find suitable attire to stock my fashionistas wardrobes. The great thing is the girls are not excessively demanding and they really do appreciate gifts of clothing which means I’m doing a good job as a mum right?
Now some people may say River Island isn’t the cheapest store out there so I thought why not set myself a challenge and see if I can find at least 4 lovely dresses for £20 or under. The question is, did I succeed?
I sure did! Of course that was a pleasant surprise.
Here are the dresses I know my daughters would love:
Girls Pink Bow Bardot Dress
What’s not to love, it’s pretty it’s pink and it’s only £16 which is reasonable. The flared skirt only adds to its appeal. With a pretty cardigan and shimmery tights for the colder months this make a great party dress. It’s also available in black and yellow all of which I know will look fabulous but don’t tell my girls or they will both want one of each.
The next dress I liked was the:
Girls Black Bardot Dress
My girls love black dresses so of course would be lining up to get their hands on one of these. The lace insert at the waist breaks up the colour a little and the dress is suitable for all year around wear with the right accessories of course. This dress costs £18, not bad at all for one that I know my girls would love to wear. The sleeves flare out as does the skirt to give it a fun feminine look.
White Polka Dot Bow Bardot Dress
Black and white are always in fashion and this polka dot dress is spot on trend. It’s cute and the bow on the sleeves simply adds to it’s girly feel. This can be dressed down for a smart casual look or dressed up for parties. The right pieces of jewellery, hair accessories and pretty cardigan are all you need to create a look that all their friends will want to imitate. Also to add this is £18 so they won’t have to break the bank to look great. It’s also available in black.
Last but certainly not least;
Red One Shoulder Frill Dress
This little stunner is one I know many ladies would love to have if they are bold enough to wear the colour themselves. This asymmetrical frill detailed sleeveless dress is a gorgeous style and is also available in black and in pink with a floral design. It’s reasonably priced at £18 and one I doubt my girls would want to share.
I love my dress choices and hope you agree. The next decision I need to make is which daughter gets which dress. I’m holding back from asking them as you know kids, only one isn’t often in their vocabulary when it comes to such pretty garments. If only they were the same height then they could share and get the best out of more than one outfit each.
