As you may have gathered from my recent ice cream recipe I love coconut.  I love to eat it in various shapes and forms and also to apply coconut containing products to my skin, the aroma is one that I find quite addictive.  Never before though have I tried a coconut scrub, well that is until now.  As you may have gathered by my various posts I am partial to a range of foods so you won’t be surprised to hear that this scrub also contains coffee.  The smell of freshly ground coffee most of you will agree is pretty fantastic so imagine this combined with coconut as in the Royal Coffee Scrub Coconut from Naturelle Cosmetics you have a match made in heaven.

A Little About the Product:

Arabic Coffee Seed Powder

Improves the circulation of the blood to the skin not only due to the process of exfoliation but also due to the caffeine it contains.  By doing this it promotes better waste removal and improves the function.  The appearance of cellulite, stretch marks and scarring is reduced.  The antioxidants exert a protective effect to help fight ageing and cell damage. Arabic Coffee Seed Powder smells pretty good too so adds a natural fragrance.

Coffee Robusta Seed Powder

Has a strong anti-inflammatory effect.  By reducing the inflammatory process within the skin it also reduces redness and reduces the size of any spots.  The stimulatory effect of the caffeine is effective in reducing the appearance of darkness around the eyes.

Avocado oil

This can increase the amount of collagen in the skin giving it that firm, plump and smooth appearance that we all take for granted when we are young.  It can help in skin conditions including eczema and psoriasis.

Jojoba oil

Is a wonderful skin moisturiser and is also useful to help those suffering from psoriasis, acne, sunburn and bruised skin.

Almond Seed

Helps remove dead skin cells and give the skin a deep cleanse.  It is useful for those with skin conditions including eczema and psoriasis.

Coconut oil

This is rich in antioxidants and has an anti fungal and antibacterial effect.  The high vitamin E content means that it can help in skin repair reducing the appearance of scars and stretchmarks.

What did I Think?

I love this.  The aroma firstly is incredible and if you use it first thing in the morning really helps make you feel awake and ready for a cup of coffee.  The ingredients are all natural there are no added perfumes etc. the product has no need for those.  The combination of ingredients work incredibly well to not only remove dead skin but to protect, promote and improve the appearance of the fresh skin beneath. It is easy to use, simply cut the top of the sachet where indicated and then you end up with a resealable pouch leaving the remainder fresh for longer.  You don’t need much of this and of course need to be careful not to get it in your eyes.  This can be easily used over a sink with little mess but the easiest way to use it is in the shower just don’t wet the sachet.  The intensity of the exfoliation is determined by the user and how hard they scrub.  The product is best used 1-2 times a week in my opinion, I would lean to twice a week myself or every 4 days.

The skin felt silky smooth and soft after use it was incredible.  The contents of the scrub meant that even on drying my skin felt soft and nourished and I didn’t feel that I needed to use a moisturiser in addition after.

I must admit I really did enjoy using this and am pleased the sachet will last me for a while yet.  There are more scrubs to choose from on the site for those not so keen on coffee or coconut and you can rest assured in the knowledge that these are all natural and toxin free!

  1. I am in love with the smell of coconut as well – I just think it’s one of those divine summary smells that just make you think of enjoying the sand between your toes and the sun on your back.

I would love to try this scrub so I think I’ll be putting in on my wish list this year.

  2. I am a fan of both coconut and coffee so to me this would be the perfect pairing for a scrub. I like the sound of it and could do with a nice treat x
