When I offered to try out some oils from acuRegen little did I expect to have just stumbled across some of the most amazing oils ever!!! I know the majority of my posts are very positive about products but a reminder to all, if I don’t like a product then I will not write about it (well it is my blog after all). I didn’t have any expectations before the product arrived as I find it is best not to but the words “OMG this is fabulous” did spring to mind for each of the oils that I tried.
The oils that I tried can be used in the bath (add a few drops to bath water), or on the body (apply a few drops to moist skin to seal in moisture).
Each of the oils provides different benefits to the skin but with each the second you pour that little bit out of the bottle the natural scent literally bursts in the room.
There are 3 oils available:
Lavender – as we all know is great for relaxation and an ideal oil to use just in a bath or after a bath or shower before bed. Its soothing relaxing effect on the skin and the mind can help calm and heal irritated and problem skin and also ease you into sleep gently after a long day.
The aroma once released from the bottle is not at all weak but well scented and it really does smell good. In my medical studies I looked into the use of essential oils for both internal and external use and have more than adequate experience to detect a great quality oil when I come across one.
This gorgeous oil has a soothing and calming effect on skin, muscles and the mind thanks to its ester content. It also contains limonene which helps support the skin in its self-healing and improve its appearance. All aromatherapists and herbalists alike will have their own bottle of this essential oil as it has numerous applications. It is even useful in treating skin conditions including psoriasis, eczema, wrinkles as well as ease insect bites (plus it can serve as an insect repellant). The Lavender oil is combined here with Eucalyptus as both have the ability to ease irritation and reduce inflammation.
Interestingly this contains my favourite Eucalyptus, Eucalyptus Globulus. This is a useful oil to use for skin irritations and inflammation and also works wonders on muscular aches and pains. Here it is perfectly paired with the Lavender as they can help improve some muscular aches and pains with the first use which I can vouch for having used the duo myself.
This oil also contains Argan oil which is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants and enabling this mix to add moisture, heal, improve elasticity and help to fight against premature aging, lines and wrinkles.
There are other ingredients in the oil and combined provide a healing, anti-inflammatory, skin toning and restoring effect so would be ideal for those with dry, irritated skin although would be useful to most people with its multiple applications.
Rose – this lovely floral oil really does bring with it the scent of Summer which I am very much looking forward to. Deeply nourishing and calming on the skin this also has a cleansing effect.
Again containing Argan oil for obvious reasons this is a lovely combination or natural sourced ingredients that combine well to complement each other and give the user great looking skin.
This also has Rose Geranium which I love to use for skin products as it can be used to help treat numerous skin conditions (including eczema) due to its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and skin healing effects.
The additional ingredients help support the main functions of those mentioned above so again we have a healing, skin nourishing oil that can help the skin look brighter, clearer and younger.
Jasmine – I had initially thought this would be my favourite aroma but having now tried them all I must admit I love them all equally. Jasmine flower oil displays toning effects on the skin and is great for treating dehydrated skin. It is commonly used as a form of treatment for those suffering from eczema and dermatitis although not where there are open wounds.
This lovely oil is combined with another essential oil Ylang Ylang both of which have a relaxing effect on the body and mind as well as smelling amazing!!!! Ylang Ylang is also thought to have a smoothing effect of the skin which is great news for us with a few wrinkles.
Of course we can’t forget the Argan oil which we all know and love. Combined these and a few more oils create a beautiful aromatic blend that not only is perfect for dry skin but also has a relaxing effect on the mind.
All of the oils leave the skin feeling soft and smooth and of course smelling amazing. I simply can’t tell you enough how wonderful these oils are and how a great a quality of product this is. If asked to find fault with the product I would struggle. The only suggestion I could think of is to change the top of the bottle from being a simple pour bottle to something more like the picture below as I must admit I was a bit paranoid of knocking the bottle over and spilling the oil everywhere. Other than that it is quite simply ‘perfect’.
